His and hers Tudors here too.
BB58 and 1926 👍

Nice, I have the 58 as my daily. The Glamour is the only watch my other half has ever taken an interest in, she mainly wears an iWatch daily. It’s my job to set the date & time when she wants to wear it.

I loved the silver dial, so much so went on the hunt for something similar. Was close to buy the ‘Grey Man’ Carrera but date put me off. Tudor released the revamped BB36 (now called BB One) in light champagne (it’s close enough) & was my 40th bday gift last year.

Think Tudor might release something special next year for the 1926 (100yrs & all that)

1926, next year 🤔 I hadn't realised this, d'oh.

My 58 was a birth year watch, of sorts.
Early retirement and voluntary redundancy too.
Back in 2019.
I wish I was 40 😪 although at the time I didn't have a watch anything like yours.

I was going to buy her a ring but she saw the 1926 and Claire de Rose and that was it.

Since then we've added watches and I do the setting in our house too although she's OK with quartz and I've told when not to set the time.

The 58 was my daughter’s birth year watch & she knows it’s hers when she’s 18.

Still need to repurchase one for my son that will stay.

Hope the early retirement has treated you well.

The Claire de Rose is an attractive women’s watch, & different for the usual Cartier.

She's tried the 58 then ?
What have you seen for your son ?

I was eyeing a new Omega or Superocean when I stumbled across Tudor online, and that was it.

I would have got the Claire de Rose but the 1926 was her choice.

Sorry meant I bought the 58 when she was born to pass to her on her 18th.

As others on this forum know - for my son I went new Speedy 3861 sapphire sandwich, returned for a Monaco, then Carrera Chronograph, then Monaco - now nothing ha.

If I’m honest I should’ve kept the Speedy that fits my lifestyle more & I like the watch to be worn, aged to be passed down.

Currently it’s a Speedy again, although I do like the no date monochrome Seamaster. Heck if Tudor released a monochrome BB58 it would be that.

Was close to buying my partner a ladies Carrera once, but nothing for the bill that she liked when re looking.

@Aquagraph will be along soon to stop this Tudor talk 😂

Although good to hear another 58 owner on the forum.

Just to keep the Tudor talk going....

I went back to the same AD we got the original 2 from with a view to getting myself a 1926.

But, when I got there I changed my mind and got a Royal, which was a big mistake.
It's just Meh and doesn't get much use.

Whereas the BB58 was a game changer, in my opinion, the Royal just changes time

I think the Royal is big in the Asian market, much like the 1926 (hence the recent moonphase).

I was surprised they’ve not gone ‘in house’ with the majority of the Selita based watches.

I was due to buy the larger 41 BB the year they released the 58, once I tried the 58 on I knew that was the correct size, thickness etc, bezel has now started to fade slightly (not as much gilt). I now know why the Rolex Sub has worked and hardly changed size in all the years.

The 58 took a year to come through as this was due to the hype around it upon release. With work I managed to get 20% off UK RRP, what was good VFM anyways became just over £2k 6yrs ago.

Hecky la pecky, 20% is good.
I waited 4 months for mine and was the big thing at the time till the Harrods came out.
Mine was £2,600 when I ordered it but went up to £,2720 while it was on order.

We had 2 glasses each of Veuve Cliquot at D M Robinson when we ordered them.
Some more when we picked the 1926 up plus 2 bottles to take home, and another glass when i picked mine up.

When I got the Royal I was only offered prosecco 🤣

The 58 movement and bezel action is the best in my collection and both are buttery smooth.

Think I had my daughter with me who just turned 1 & was Goldsmiths I declined the alcohol, but maybe I got a coffee instead.

That’s good service from DMR on the next pick up.

The BB One I got 7% off I think, what ever the price of the equivalent gift card I would’ve got if buying. The Glamour I couldn’t get anything on as has to be ordered direct from Switzerland (shame as that’s taken the biggest hit), I’ve pretty much the same AD for all the purchases (managed 15% off on price match for the Speedy).

Tags have come from different store (yet same group). Great service and team there.

Ideally like to use something more local to where I live but unsure what deal I can get.

Oddly was offered a very good deal from Chisholm Hunter if I were to order the Chopard Alpine Eagle, however I was only passing and wanted to look at it.

Agree on the bezel & winding action, best I’ve owned.

Yeah, being Xmas the champagne was very helpful.

I bought my missus a Longines le Grande Classique in Kendal at Banks Lyon and they got that sale because they let our dog in.

15% off a Speedie is good going 👍
I've had discounts on Longines and Bremont but nothing off Tag Heuer and my Omegas have been second hand.

I like the Speedies, they're nearly as big a legend as a Sub but they don't look good on me and it isn't the watch's fault 🤣

The 15% was great especially 2 price rises have happened since. Think the best I’ve seen now is 10%.

I value good service as well so that has to play a part.

Part of me knows grey or 2nd hand the way to go but for a keeper I want to be the 1st owner & I like the ‘experience’.

The below are on the hit list. But it’s mainly between the Omegas

If you consider facts controversial then sure 😘
😚 I'll add a Tudor from the time when they were just a poor mans Rolex 😁
BB58 is a modern classic though I will admit!

Very nice combo! 🥰
Too bad the nato looks too wide. 🥴
I always do the alternative way where the pile is on the lower end, not on the side, it's a much cleaner look.
