8 days later.
Well? 馃

Not yet full, because Jakarta is showered with rain almost every day. The park spotlights are far from adequate for a full charge

It gets a wear this time every year but I found out not long after buying it that I'm not too keen on chronographs

Yes, this is most suitable for pilots/aircraft crew or business people who frequently travel abroad flight 鉁堬笍

Dials too busy?

No, but the watch still has to be set to a manual time zone, because to get at least 4 satellite signals for auto-sync requires a lot of power and it has to be fully charged.

I really like the Cal 16. The yellow strap is killer and it really works. The steel version is nicer than the renders suggest and the Senna subdial is much better than expected too. Still not as good as the one on the C16 but not the mess it appeared in the render. The steel felt quite heavy though, but that may be because I was wearing my titanium Golf... still, as much as I like it do I want to pay 拢5k for it? Not really.

I have similar feelings. The steel model felt heavy to me too, compared to the titanium Cal16 which is quite light.

Yeah. Stupid question, but when did they stop making the Link bracelet in two halves? I bet it was ages ago hey?

The bracelet links aren't two pieces anymore? I didn't notice.

I've never owned a Link, just S/ELs, so haven't paid attention to the bracelet changes. I'd guess probably when they stopped using the Link bracelet on Link watches and started using them for the F1 and Carrera instead.

I couldn't tell for sure, so I asked and the salesman said they are one piece now.

Well that sucks, because the easiest way to tell a fake was by the one-piece links.

Local microbrand Tsao Baltimore held an open house two nights ago, to show off their new site. And, it's a very nice location -- the front area is showroom and hang-out area, the back is the workshop. It may not have been quite as prestigious as the Heuer Collectors' Summit, but there was quite the turnout and it was my first event at any watch maker.

Alan Tsao, the owner, was wearing a prototype of the Francis Scott Key LE, in which the dial is made of steel from the bridge that collapsed last year when it was struck by a container ship. Profits from the watch will go to the families of the men killed during the collapse. Yeah, I know I wasn't actually wearing it when I took this pic, but hopefully y'all will forgive me.

And, while there, we discovered their head watchmaker, Eugene Stohlman, has his own brand of watches, which were also on display. This one with the black mother of pearl dial followed me home:

Both watches are made, as much as possible, in Maryland, including the movements.
