Just received my PR516 back from the watchmaker.
I am still looking for a bracelet or just a rally leather strap. Any suggestions ?

Definitely a rally strap, like this one:

There are several of styles of rally strap, but I'd go for one with big holes and maybe some red stitching to bring out the color of that subdial, like this:

Some Tissot love here & there on the forum:

(I particularly love the link in this last thread to chronomadox.com : http://chronomaddox.com/tissot/manual/tissot_technical_watches/tech_wide.html,
but you also have this : http://chronomaddox.com/tissot/catalog/T-12/t-12_catalog.html
and this : http://chronomaddox.com/tissot/manual/you_and_your_tissot/you_and_your_tissot.html)

@Vitezi @hmmmcamu @Willbur @JimJupiter and @Syrte among others have shared very nice posts and they definitely inspired me to get some of mine.
A good brand with very classic design : I've focused on Navigator, Seastar & PR516 from 60s & 70s... mainly equipped with Lemania movement. But there are great 30s, 40s & 50s watches for sure to hunt for too.

Two PR516 Seastar equipped with a Tissot movement 782-1 (The left one being the GLversion, and the right one being the diver 44.544 - a version related to Roger Moore), and the middle one is a chrono 40.528 equipped with a Lemania 873.

From right to left : Seastar 40.522-1 with a Valjoux 7734 (Tissot 2460), 2 Navigators 45.501 with Lemania 1341 (Tissot 2170), and the Navigator 45.500 with Lemania 1343 (Tissot 2160).

Always love to read & learn more so if opening a Tissot forum here in OF can bring more exchanges : I'm in 😀

So many beauties of Tissot out there. In my opinion totally underrated. Any recommendations for first Tissot to buy?

If you find one and if you are prepared to spend a substantial amount of money, this one (I have one, but definitely not selling)

Monopusher, not bad. Very old execution.

Not exactly, this is the 15 CHT variant. It actually has two pushers, the one evident at "2" and one in the crown. The one in the crown is for reset. The black dial of the above ad (and in my watch) is enamel, so no chance for "tropical" 😉.

I just looked at eBay, the movement alone, in "dunno" condition (possible broken or missing parts) would set you back about USD 2,000. https://www.ebay.com/itm/114820962821
Edited:

This website may earn commission from Ebay sales.

Here you go. Sorry for the bad photos, they are quite old, I have this watch since more than 35 years. Dial without any crack or chip, luckily.

This watch looks so nice, Bernhard. Interesting deep black of dial. Amazing.

And now I wait for it to arrive...

Fills a gap. Surprised I did not have a long T variation.

We’d be open to adding one if there were enough tissot fans, nobody has asked yet though

Sure. Count me in as a Tissot fan.

4x Le Locle (1 is COSC)
2x PR 100
1x PRC 200
1x PRX automatic
more might come if Tissot stops making HUGE dials

What do we have to ask?

Which Tissot Chronograph is the best in your opinion? Is there any database available on the net like we know it from Heuer with onthedash.com?
