Font: As the brand spread its influence to the international market, the logo with the lettering “Swiss” started to be used. In the current version, the name of the country has been replaced by its symbol, the white cross on the red background.

LOGO ...

1853 - 1978: The earliest version is presumably the one featuring a handwriting-style script with a sweeping “T.”
I like it

Any idea when we will have the tissot sub forum up and running?
We’re still going to look into how many threads we have about Tissot to move into it and then I’ll need to get @Trev to design a logo for it

TISSOT SEASTAR NAVIGATOR CHRONOGRAPHE
ref.# 40522 cal. Valjoux 7734
That’s a special watch.
I’m a cal 27 junkie. I saw a post from a forum member a while back that snagged the watch from rear window with Jimmy Stewart. Lucky guy that is.

Today it’s these two for me. The crosshairs for day and the gold one for night.

the gold one is a 1953 which is cool as it’s 100 years of tissot.

Keep an eye out for a Jubileum, which was manufactured only in 1953 for the company's centennial:

Yeah I’m aware of the watch, if I see one come up for sale I’ll be jumping on it like a grenade.

I have been going through some 40 years of backup CDs to see what is still readable and can be opened.

I found this.

Seems to date from my 1998 factory tour. (Not sure why I blocked the registration key.)

I got out my Wallstreet laptop to read some of the old disks as the modern Mac OS no longer supports the native HFS files system. Ironically Linux does. But it is easier to get out the 20 some year old laptop, which still runs!

I do have a windows 95 machine but it does not have a CD/DVD drive. So I can not play this.

Now I am going to see if I can seek out an Autoquartz. Wonder if they held their value?

(and I really do still have data from my college days in the early 1980s. Even old paper tapes and punch cards (used for bookmarks.))

Edit: a quick search and I love this description. 25 years old and already an Antique! LOL.
