It Arrived this evening!

And of course I had to open it. Wound it and it runs.

Only downside is a hairline crack in the crystal which I noticed posting the above image. I see the crack is in the auction photos.

I do not know the Tissot refs as well as the Omega refs.

And it comes with a certificate of "Authenticity"

Now I need to figure out how to set the date.

More lacunae and rabbit holes to explore ...

Well as my mentor would say "The pictures are in Engish."

Curious how the 1280 lemania fits in the PR516 case. I was not expecting this.

Now I need to find a reference which would tell me what pusher I need. If the pusher was threaded and stripped or pressed in. I suspect that there may be a generic 'omega ref' replacement. But which one oh the lacunea in this rabit hole. So many gaps and nothing to fill them with.

No cyclops on mine.

1960 could be a birth year watch. I have not stumbled across Tissot serial number dates. The number looks similar to what one would expect on a comparable Omega.

Wonder how the value has held up. I got this for 21bucks. Not sure if the 125 franks in this are swiss or french. I think this one went under tha radar.

It makes sense to me given the historical connection between Tissot and Omega.

It does but we’re working on finalizing the next OF software, its hard to work on two versions at once so we have to prioritize that for now

All good, I will keep checking in as I think the significance is great. Also there are plenty of tissot collectors in here.

I think you will have much better luck starting a new thread. I think it will be tricky to find the bezel, I would watch ebay for a donor watch.

I was lucky enough to buy a patined waterproof 6220 recently.
Seems to be all original and in an honest condition.

Since it's with my I can hardly take it off my wrist.
The diameter is just perfect for smaller wrist and I really like the changing silver colour on the minute track which is only visible at a certain angle.

I love the old logo, like on @Redondo444's chronograph, but no chance at making that square. I would go with the 1959-1999 T logo like in this:

I think Tissot did some of their really experimental stuff in the 1970s. The T really sets things off well. This was the logo used when I visited the factory in the 1990s. Most of my Tissot watches have this logo.

I do like the older long swept long T as well, I did not really notice it until I started looking at the older stuff.

Not a big fan of the modern logo with the date.
