I saw the watch faces on E5 today. All from E4 were available except Monaco faces. Store employee said Porsche faces would be removed soon too from E5 because of "licensing issues".

No app store, no 3rd party faces to install, no mobile payments. But I was told multiple times that "E5 now pairs quickly in 30 seconds, so that alone is a huge improvement". I wanted to like E5, to replace 3 years old E4, don't see the benefits. My Samsung Ultra still has more and better sensors for sleep tracking and sports activities so I don't care for E5 new sensors.

Now I need to decide if saving 30 seconds on pairing is a good reason to get E5 馃榾

Tag should just make e5 ( ok, e6 if still exists) an minor appearance change , and E2 compatible upgrade head , on wear os or whatever / os ,which doesn't really matter as we only go for the look. I/o this strange (imo, down grade) crap .

Sorry , but I must be just and average Joe and have really have no clue how to run watch business......

NB is known for its 574 dad's shoe. Its a street brand.

I'm struggling to see a good fit with "avant-garde" at 3K+. Such marketing is out of touch tbh

Compare this

to this at 1.9K (design and build quality):

And marqs will likely be cheaper.

For the fun cool like NB logo stuff I would rather prefer Swatch Moonswatch at 拢280.
Once I tried a MARQ2, I never looked back. More expensive but worth it.

I've got into watch collecting and only wear my Apple Watch Ultra one day per week now. I decided to put my money into a new iPhone 17 Pro Max. I upgraded from a 14 Pro Max. My thinking was I'd get a lot more use out of a phone than another smart watch. Looking at the photos I feel justified. This does not look like a premium watch

I hope Tag reads this forum and listens. I was so looking forward to the E5 and it now seems I will pass. I have had every Connected through the E3 and looked forward to the E5. I sold my E3 (the E4 wasn't a big enough change for me) and tried a Garmin Fenix 8 Pro 47 on titanium band. Technically, the watch is amazing. I order a bespoke version and swapped out the ugly orange sensor guard to titanium. Battery life is amazing, the screen is very high quality, watch faces are numerous but not so much if you like a more traditional analog chrono face. If you are an athlete, there is nothing better. I have an Oura ring and it does a great job tracking the health things I care about. The watch actually does a better job with health tracking (activity, sleep, heart data, O2 and ECG) and I like the data, but I don't need Garmin coach, split times, a race widget, run elevation data, training readiness, etc. Speaker and mic for phone calls is poor to OK and I don't use it for that reason. The built-in flashlight is very cool and GPS tracking for hiking excellent. Contactless payments is standard (and nice) for devices like this but app selection is very fitness oriented, so I have only found a few I like and use. I don't use Strava. My first Swiss watch, 30 years ago, was a Tag gold and stainless SEL - I still have it. I also have a Carrera Chrono and my wife, and I both have an Aquaracer Professional (mine is a chrono, hers has diamonds and is beautiful) - we are both scuba divers. Tag's support on my Aquaracer was pretty disappointing. A pet parrot in the blink of an eye bit off the decorative rubber cover of a chrono dial. It served no function other than decoration. Tag charged $600 to repair it (they would only repair it with a full service). 14 months after a full service and certified dive readiness, it flooded on a dive in Key West. I was on a boat with 2 executives from Breitling and I didn't hear the end of it (though they were good humored). Tag only warrantied dive readiness for 12 months. I had to spend another $600. I really wanted to go for the E5. but I want a nice selection of apps, contactless payments abundant watch faces... I think I am done with Tags 馃檨

...any info for the trade-in? At this point it would be the only reason for me, getting rid of my 5minutes battery E4..., ...for the rest, I would choose Garmin for sure...

I'm Joe Six Pack. There's no "embargo" that applies to me.

The watches weren鈥檛 charged so i could not see them working. I was presented the aluminium with rubber band & one with metal band, golf version and the sports version which they stated will come with a special update (they couldnt spoil though).

Thank you. Does the metal band looks more like the one en E3 or E4 (I much prefer the one from the E3..) ?

馃槀 And because it is not compatible with the WatchMaker app 馃槒

Let's just hope the E5 doesn't lose its screens and rubber crown covers like the E4 馃馃徏

E2 Modular is more than just an smartwatch. There probably won't be a similar concept again... unless JC Biver comes back! 馃槈 It was probably too expensive to produce, and since E3 they're looking for higher profit margins.

The number I was given would barely be enough to cover an extra rubber strap.

Wish I could have seen them turned on but first impression was wholly unimpressed.

There will be a trade in on old Connected devices. But it won't be at release. I think trades will happen in the new year.
