TAG Heuer Connected E5 Releasing date: October 8th, 2025

Nothing said here is making me think "Yes, I want one".
The ability to take calls makes me think there's a mic and speaker, but no one has confirmed this.
No major improvements to health tracking.
I use a rowing machine but I can't get my E4 to track me, I'm sure the E5 won't either.
I hate the way the bezel looks compared to my Black E4 45mm.... the full glass over the bezel looks like the ladies E4 42mm.
I don't fancy having New Balance plastered all over it, but I suppose that's the design that they'll use for the launch at some running event in the US that someone mentioned here earler.
I don't remember many updates either by Google or on the TH phone app (apart from the deletion of the occasional watchface) so I'm not hopeful that there'll be many udates and improvements to the new OS either. Once TH gets your cash, they lose interest.
Nah, I don't think I'll bother.

It was in a boutique yesterday. The full glass over the bezel is only on the 40mn. The 45mm is NOT full glass and has a much more normal look. The sapphire stops about 2mm out to the edge. The 45mm looks much better than the 40mm. Completely different animals/appearances. And, there wasn't NB on either case/face.
Having said this, I share your diminished enthusiasm. I do give Tag a lot of credit for trying. Apple has made this a really difficult market to crack. Google also has strong market share and Garmin, to their credit, has built dozens of quality products. My Forerunner 165 is a screaming bargain at $250 or whatever.
On a positive note, I thought the band on the 45mm is really nice looking. Deployment of course. The strap on the 40mm is not deployment.

There will be a trade in on old Connected devices. But it won't be at release. I think trades will happen in the new year.
Thanks for the info, let's wait and see. It would be a little bit disappointing though since, when I purchased my E4, the trade-in was an highlighted pros for the online buyers like me; but now, my E4 battery is gone, if I have to wait other 4 months..., ...they would send me @ Garmin straight away...

E2 Modular is more than just an smartwatch. There probably won't be a similar concept again... unless JC Biver comes back! 😉 It was probably too expensive to produce, and since E3 they're looking for higher profit margins.

This is the biggest disappointment of the Connected. It used to be Connected to Eternity. Now the screens are barely connected to the watches.

The modular was genuinely innovative and felt like a system that could be improved and extended. The later generations just feel like a massively overpriced Chinese throwaway. Might as well spend $150 and get the same thing from Amazon, then spend the rest on an Aquaracer.

The E2 was great in term of concept and look, plus it was Swiss made, but to be honest and having tried it on several times, was such a bulky and uncomfortable watch to wear for most people....
I really wish Tag Heuer could have reproduced the "Modular" concept on a more classy watch like the E3... but that was not financially viable for them as they prioritized EBITDA over customer satisfaction...

Correct. I was simply trying to convey that the 45mm does not have the crystal that covers the entire top of the watch the way the crystal does on the 40mm. My apologies for imprecise language.

Back in 2022, there was a live event in Paris for the launch of the E4... this time, I can't find any info on the web for such event even though the launch is tomorrow... Did anyone heard about a live event to be watched online ?

All I was told is that the launch or release was 8th October at 4pm Paris time.
I haven't heard of any big launch event like the one Frédéric held in 2022.
