Monaco Steve McQueen CAW211P, discontinued?

Hi team,
I might be hallucinating but checked this morning US, UK, AU and NZ Tag websites and none has this model (CAW211P) listed anymore.
Sign of the times?

Anyone knows why? Thanks.

Possibly their web team made some changes and inadvertently removed its slot within the Monaco collection. But the CAW211P is still the poster child for the Monaco Chronographs at the top level.

Also, showing available to add to cart in the US.

Yup, it isn't listed in the main Monaco colleciton but burried deeper in the Cal11 collection where you need to click on one of them and will take you to the SMQ. This is the same across all 4 international websites I checked.

It could be the last website update missed the main link to few models.

Could be the result of website updates for Geneva Watch Days 2025?

Also, @babola, I love your CAW211B. 😁

All good on the AU site.
Just asked the GM of Australia about it.
No plans to discontinued. Stil a very popular model.

What I was trying to say is they still show it at the top level of the menus, which wouldn't be the case if it was discontinued. So, probably just a matter of time before they catch their mistake and fix the website.

Yeah it doesn't come up under Monacos in the UK, but at least you can still buy the rattrapantes... 😁

Maybe they released is now crazy expensive at RRP & discontinued it.

Still the best looking variant.

Not disputing that mate, it shows as a photo on all websites I mentioned in my original post. What I was refering to was if you click on 'Monaco Collection' link, it doesn't show as available. The way to get to it is via clicking on another Cal 11 variant then select from the available list below.

No worries. I felt my original reply wasn't worded clearly, so my added comment was really in response to myself. LOL

I understood what you and @Jemagloh are saying, but clicking on another Cal11 to see more options listed isn't necessarily an indication of whether a watch is still available.

For example, when clicking on the Stopwatch Monaco, they also show the old Gulf Monaco CAW211R next to the CAW211P below. But the old C11 Gulf has definitely been discontinued.

Further to this thread.
I heard from one of the EU boutiques that the McQueen Calibre 11 will be discounted.
I guess the Calibre 11 as it is now just doesn't fall in line with the movements TAG Heuer is now promoting for their watches. Announcement coming later in the year.

Thanks Ant. I will believe Tag on their word when I see it, they made so many similar announcements in the past and stuck to very few of them.

What makes that even harder to believe is that Cal11 (ETA2892/Sellita SW330 base and DD chrono module flipped by 180 degrees) powered Monacos are their most popular Monaco models according by a rep in my AD, and there's still no suitable replacement alternative mov't from Tag, in-house or otherwise.

And yet, it's reappeared back on the Monaco main menu, just as we expected it would.

Yes. All very confusing to be honest.
Maybe I can get a little more clarification while in La Chaux-de-Fonds.

If they do, and send the existing stock to TAG Heuer outlets (like in Bicester), perhaps the CAW211P can be bought again at a more reasonable price, similar to the one it had before they started raising its price disproportionately and unjustifiably (taking into account that the model has not changed).

Meanwhile, yesterday at the TAG Heuer boutique in Barcelona:

CAS211P for 8100 Eur? That's borderline insanity...

In NZ its 6940 Eur (currency converted) including all taxes, which is already quite a bit higher than we should be paying for this type of watch with Sellita based 'Frankenstein' mov't. In Australia, the same. The Spanish pricing doesn't make sense, sorry.

Exactly… 🤦🏻 This is the current official price if you check the website:

It’s the same price in all Europe, not only in Spain

And £7,500 in UK, which is more or less the same:

It’s the outlier in the Monaco lineup, looking at how Tag are going forward. Yet agree with others it’s still the most inconic & best Monaco model available.

RRP are now crazy considering the movement, especially UK £7,500 same price at a 3861 Sapphire Sandwich Speedmaster.

I guess discounts can be had easier in Tag.
