Way too expensive in every part of rhe world. That's why when ive bought one it has always been pre owned at 50% off retail. I owned 2 and the last one I told my wife it was for her. So no selling this one.

I wonder how the sales staff explain away the two year warranty on the SMQ Monaco when almost everything else in the shop has a five year warranty...?

'Special watches only have two years warranty unfortunately'... lol

Well I guess that had to happen eh? Originally it was 'in house' movements... but I guess as they had like one old 'out of house' crapper left in the range they had to do the same.

From a business perspective it makes sense, it is dirt cheap to just swap the movement if there is an issue

No it's 5yrs if you register it online. 2yrs standard or 3yrs then register online further warranty

Was at Bluewater last night (local big shopping centre) various ADs, was killing time whilst waiting for an Apple appointment, popped into the Tag Heuer store and which is now a boutique store (not a front for WoS) & looking briefly at their Monaco display had none & not even a missing slot - the calibre 11 McQueen version no where to be seen.

Ha not at all, but odd their new store doesn’t have this displayed.

Would seem strange for it to be discontinued, given its the watch they've chosen for the Tag Heuer branding tower in the F1 paddocks all year, and its the watch that Verstappen has been wearing post Grand Prix's for the most of the second half of the season - why market a discontinued product? Unless they are just trying to offload excess stock I guess?

Perhaps it helps signal to prospective customers that this watch is in high demand and if lucky they might be able to sell you one

The SMQ Calibre 11 will no longer have a cheap selita movement. As od 2026 the SMQ will have a TH20-11 movement. TAG Heuer has developed their own Calibre 11.
And I'm guessing it will be a little bit more expensive.

Oh really, that’s interesting & about time, wonder what changes to the model will take place. As they cannot surely just replicate the current calibre 11 with a TH movement.

I expect at just under £10k watch

The new movement's name, TH20-11, implies it's an evolution of the H02/TH20 but with "11" hinting at a lefthand crown. But I recall that the H02/TH20 did not lend itself to a lefthand crown configuration, and then there's the dreaded running seconds hand 3rd-register at 6 o'clock.

Hence, I'm quite curious to learn more about this movement. Whether it really is a derivative of the H02/TH20, and if so, what was done to enable the lefthand side crown. Or if it's something entirely different.

I will see what I can find out.
I believe they developed from their own and made a brand new movement.
