Having had more wrist time with the F1 Solargraph, the other surprising thing to me is how large it wears. It doesn't feel like a 38mm, more like a 40mm. My 6000s which are 39mm wear smaller. As does my 1000 Night Diver which is 38mm and has practically the same lug to lug length.

While the new Solargraph looks the part off the wrist, on the wrist it looks like a different watch compared to the KITH or OG. Not necessarily a negative, it just has a more modern diver vibe to it. (IMHO)

Completely agree. The new one is a completely different experience than the Kith or the OG. I think I said this earlier, but its like comparing a 1980's Ford Bronco to the 2025 Ford Bronco. Yes, they share a common design DNA from the same company.....but that's about it. The new one just wears so well.

I've also noticed that the lume on watch lasts longer than any other I've owned. I thought the lume on my Omega NTTD Seamaster was strong, but this F1 beats it. When I wake up early before sunrise, the lume on my F1 is still glowing.

On the downside, the bezel action on the F1 is kind of strange. It doesn't have the tactile feel and audible click that I'm used to on other dive watches. In addition, I notice there's more bezel spring play. Like I when I push down on one side of the bezel, I feel it move down and bounce back up.

Isn't it bi-directional as well? Or did I dream that...

Here's some photos side by side. I did notice the indices on the Silverstone is white whilst the Monza has a slight greenish tint to it. As again photos don't do the green justice, you'll have to see them in person. Still very pleased with them as a bit of a fun watch to have in the collection.
Just curious what other TAG gifts did you guys get with your purchases?

I noticed that the hour marker indices on the red McLaren also seem different from the similar WBY1111. The McLaren has sort of a fauxtina color to the markers. Perhaps to mimic the vintage look of the OG.

I've also noticed more differences in the dials. The WBY1111 and Silverstone have full color logos, while the McLaren and Monza both have monochrome logos like their original counterparts. The WBY1111 has a red seconds hand and white indices within the red ring, while the McLaren has a black seconds hand and black indices within the red ring, exactly like its OG counterpart.

I like the look of the blue Singapore a lot. But can't justify buying another one so soon, nor one that's quite similar to my red one.

Yeah, that鈥檚 fair enough. I鈥檓 set on getting the yellow when the time comes, but fancy this too and would have one steel, one dlc and one of the non-steel ones.

I鈥檒l see what I think on Tues. the only issue is that it鈥檚 going to be impossible to see before buying. I tried the red on today and really liked it, but there was a slight colour mismatch between case and rubber strap, which is not the end of the world. I guess if you order you can always send back if not satisfied.

The color mismatch of the red strap and case was the first thing I noticed. I asked to see another one and saw that they're all like that.

I have a spare vintage original red strap that is a better match for the case color. I've toyed with the idea of swapping the old strap on. But the new strap is so much more comfortable and of superior quality. Also, while the vintage strap is closer to the red of the new case, it's not an exact match either.

It's really a shame that TAG didn't match the red color better, how hard can it be? 馃

It鈥檚 not out by miles, but the strap is more vibrant than the case. I assume it鈥檚 down to the materials and the way they take colour.

Most of the IG/ You tube pics do not show this, so assume they must have been altered in some way. I am expecting the same for the blue one, but I think I鈥檒l order it and then see what I think when it arrives.

In fairness, the bezel and the chapter ring on the green one do not match, and while I was aware of it at first I don鈥檛 even give it a second thought now.

Yeah, you can always return it, or not take delivery, if you're not happy when it arrives.

The reds are close enough that I'm overall quite pleased with the watch. The severity of the color difference is also light dependent. But I think the color difference is more obvious in real life vs videos or pics. Even in my own photos it looks like a pretty good match, compared to what my eyes see IRL.
E.g.

The vintage original straps are actually worse in terms of color consistency. I'm not sure if it's obvious in this photo, but IRL each strap is a slightly different shade of red.

Yep, I鈥檒l give it a go and see. One thing for sure, the rubber straps are really good. Some of the nicest I have tried.

There is just something about these that I like.
