Well, the original is the 90's classic I had as a kid. Its a known entity. However, I treat this one with kid's gloves because its so old. My other red one went kaput and I was told its not repairable. I hope to god this one is because I am in love it it. The strap is stiff and I'm terrified that it's too brittle, again, because of the age. Its very much the affordable firs watch it always was.

Kith is the exact same watch but with significant upgrades in the areas that matter for wearability. Its got a sapphire crystal, repairable movement, and the strap is VERY comfortable. Is it an over-priced hype piece leaning heavily on nostalgia? Absolutely, but I got a good deal on mine and that was never something i was going to worry about in this endeavor. Also, its got a great WR and a modern water seal I can trust. Unlike the OG above, you feel like this one can handle just about anything.

Solargraph is the modern homage. Its a different watch. It obviously has the same style cues, but its like comparing the 1980s Ford Bronco to the current one. Same spirit, higher end, way more expensive, and with a few headscratching drawbacks (bigger and less WR). The opalescent dial is beautiful, I love the applied indices, and the lume is some of the best lume I've seen from Tag (better than my Night Diver IMO). The rubber strap is the same material as the Kith, but with a DLC buckle. For some reason it feels a bit more robust as well. The watch its self is also a bit heavier, which make me wonder if they made the plastic thicker.

I love all three, but for very different reasons.

Still love mine. May well get another. Want a dark dialled one. Maybe the Mexico, or may get the Miami - something about the all black which I like.

I’m very happy with the Miami 😊👍🏼

I've just picked up the Red/Green Monza F1 and I love it!
Also it's always nice to be gifted a cool swag too which is shaped like the logo.

I'll try to get some shots in natural daylight and perhaps with the Silverstone together.

Are the greens as mismatching as the photos seem to show?

I was thinking about one of these.... but not sure I'm going to make the decision in time... 😁

It's the same like the Green Silverstone F1. It really is lighting dependent and in person it does looks fine.

Here's some photos side by side. I did notice the indices on the Silverstone is white whilst the Monza has a slight greenish tint to it. As again photos don't do the green justice, you'll have to see them in person. Still very pleased with them as a bit of a fun watch to have in the collection.
Just curious what other TAG gifts did you guys get with your purchases?

The TH Solargraph Christmas Test, how many different greens can you spot?
In all honesty - that's what's put me off that colourway. I was considering one - but the lack of colour coordination (while probably fine on an original "low-cost" F1) is (quite honestly) embarrassing on a modern watch from a "quality" manufacturer costing more than £20.

Thank you! Yeah, I figured I'd end up with one someday, just not so soon. My intention was only to look but got an offer that was too good to refuse, as they say.

One of my ADs was able to discount since it isn't an LE. Plus, the shopping mall had a special promotion gift card for spending over a certain amount. This basically meant a double discount, so I jumped on it, since it was the last day of the mall's promotion.

Now that I can compare all three (OG, KITH and Solargraph), I can say your impressions are pretty much spot on.👍 Except I have no worries about wearing my originals, maybe I'm just used to the straps being stiffer that way. What I did find surprising is that the strap on the new F1 Solargraph is shorter compared to the KITH, which in turn is shorter compared to the OG's strap (designed to be cut). The shorter strap is great for someone like me with slim wrists, I love it!

When available I buy the blue rubber version. I actually want the steel buckle on it. Will these now also be available separately?

That blue strap will look great on your blue dial. 👍

My black buckle has a part number on it that's different from the strap, so hopefully you can buy the steel buckle separately at some point. Similarly, I wish they had done the crown on mine in black dlc, the polished steel crown looks out of place.
