Following on from the Connected E5 thread and suggestions there, figured why not start a know issues thread in the hope someone sees it!

My top 2 issues / suggested updates

1. Add some security! With no passcode or security, if your watch ‘ goes missing ‘ all someone has to do is go into settings / factory reset and BOOM. Totally wiped and free tonreaync to another device ( let alone having access to your data prior to wiping the watch )

2. Not having an option for when auto dimming kicks in. Having the display dim automatically after 5 seconds of inactivity is ridiculous when timing things via the watch face!

Audio widgits stays on too long

Notifications getting stuck randomly until restart

Widgits on Celsius

No weather forecast

Steps go to 0 on reset

Low volume on voice assistant / voice assistant implementation sucks anyway

App on android seems to be behind that of Apple

Can't import/export steps into Health Connect

AOD face is hard to see in direct sunlight unlike Galaxy Ultra

Contacts - there is no way to resync contacts. So when you add a new contact to your iPhone, this doesn’t get pushed to the contact list on the watch.

Also, there is no way to search through contacts on the watch, only scroll through alphabetical ( no shortcuts to start letter or search option ), major pain.

Hello to all in the forum, I’m pretty new to Tag, but very fascinated from E5 i received it yesterday.
I’m on iphone 16 pro with ios26.0.1
After few reset, watch working and receiving good notification from phone.
Experiencing annoing Tag mobile app disconnecting from watch while watch still connected to phone and still getting phone notification.
Any idea how to solve?

Bugs:
1-- At some point, E5 does not vibrate any longer when a notification arrives (restarting it doesn't change anything - running on latest software).
Issue seems to disapear when switching off/on some apps for notification but it comes back later.
2-- Calendar app does not synchronize all entries from the calendar (example: an existing repeating entry won't show at all for future repeatitions - a new made entry will show up).

Update:
Please bring back synopsis face (or any digital face close to it) and allow for a complication to show calendar entries.

-- Provide notifications when daily calories/steps objectives are met.
-- Bring back complication showing progress on both daily calories/steps objectives.

1) Steps, Calories, Active time, Avg HR though visible in the Connected App, are not syncing to iOS Health or Fitness App.
2) Finicky, face/ complication on-watch customization. Customized sub-dials randomly revert to default, watch faces change colors.
3) No ability to fully customize watch faces in Connected App.
4) Weather complication stopped working.
5) No digital World clock option
6) Battery life is about 24 Hours - WITHOUT tracking a single workout - battery was 100% this morning at 09:00, it is now at 65% and it is 17:25.

At the moment this watch delivers no more than an automatic mechanical timepiece, at least the mechanical watch doesn’t need to be. Recharged every 24+ hours!

Weird, my battery is easily 2.5 days duration with a full charge.

WiFi: there is no way of searching for ( and hence no way of joining ) hidden WiFi networks.

Proper pain as at work employee networks are hidden 🙁

Hi - Yes I am having the same problems which I never only ever occasionally encountered with previous E3 & E4 versions. Apparently this issue is know by Tag and they are issuing an update by the end of the month apparently. Annoying that these bugs were not sorted during testing.
If not sorted by the end of October, I will be requesting a refund

i had the same problem with the battery. I solved it by restarting the watch en leave it on the charger for 8 hours.

Thanks for the tip will try, am getting a tiny bit longer battery life but still not 2 days and this is without logging workouts. Will give that a try.

I’m having the same problem. Disconnecting from app throughout the day. Not impressed with my new E5. Yes it looks good, but tbh I’m not bothered about what’s inside (hardware) I want a good interactive watch. Had Fitbits for years that offer so much more. Doesn’t even monitor sleep and the answer to most problems is put it on the charger overnight. I want to wear my watch for bed, I want it to monitor my sleep and heart overnight and I want it to update quickly. I wake up turn off sleep mode and it shows the incorrect time for about a minute or until I pick my phone up and click on the app. The app is very limited to say the least. Why don’t these app builders add icons for updates or syncing, I’m just staring for some sort of indication that the watch has synched.

(1) ability to screen grab (either directly on watch or from the app). Every other device allows that functionality.

(2) allow setting face the complications from the app, I mean come on. Basic functionality 101.

(3) iOS Live Activities do not appear on the watch, and not all apps that have Live Activities also do support Notifications (Apple’s own Sports App is a prime example)

(4) now that the weather complication is fixed and shows °F, please clean up some of the weather complication images… rain specifically. Looks like it was done by someone’s kid, and doesn’t match the rest of the weather images.

(5) mechanism to force reload weather data (pull down or actual refresh 🔄 button).

(6) on-face indicator that an alarm is currently set and/or active (watch design 101).

(5b) weather location is VERY slow to update, even though the iOS Tag Connect app has full location access. Currently traveling, and it took 3+ hours for the app to update to new location (and in turn, the proper weather data). Force refresh of weather complication should also force update location. FYI, Apple Weather widget does not have this location lag.

Aside from some bugs listed in this thread, I have a problem with the screen brightness. Inside it works pretty well. Outside it is sometimes impossible to even tell the time (E5 set on auto brightness). Anyone else experiencing this?

I totally share the same behaviors.
In my scale of topic this is less important and will be more evident in the next summer, hoping meanwhile they fit this too 😉

Since I didn't have an E4 - was this a problem on previous generations too? I'm still within my 2 weeks return window and if this is not fixable via software, I might return it. I've been to the Mediterranean last weekend and as mentioned before, it was nearly impossible to tell the time. Other than this, I really like it.
