By the way, this was also you: "Oh my God i ve just learned the processor which E5 has, released in 2022 !"

Why would you consider such an " old" processor?

Said the keyboard warrior desperately trying to validate himself on a consumer goods forum. By the way, I apologize to everyone here - regardless of what he writes next, I won’t be responding anymore. But I have to say, I find it quite tragicomic that this guy is trying to philosophize and pass judgment on a watch forum. Honestly, I almost feel sorry for him.”
I'll agree that his tone of response was unnecessary but the point does stand that there are 29 pages for you to read and that this is not an advice forum

I installed the update. No changes to the 2 issues I pointed out to them in the sport app:

1. custom workouts do not load correctly on the watch (watch shows number of reps for current exercise but title of next exercise in list, if you do bench press 12 reps then biceps 20 reps, etc. watch just shows biceps 12 reps etc).

2. Once you start the sport app, music control is disabled (can’t use the E5 to skip a track during a workout)

Does anyone with an iPhone see improvements?

I updated this afternoon. I am on iPhone and overall my battery life seems better and the watch seems snappier when opening widgets.

First time smartwatch user here.
IP 17 PM IOS 26.1
Read all 30 pages of mostly negative comments and still decided to pull the trigger.. Push notifications, basic smartwatch function works fine for me but wanted to add some tech to switch up from my daily rotation of decent analogs..(4th Tag to my collection going back to the Kirium)

Impressions:
+
1. Beautiful, well crafted smartwatch. Killer screen, Fit and finish 5/5
2. Seamless and easy activation. 5/5
3. Intuitive and responsive controls. 5/5
4. Sweet customization 5/5

_
1. Packaging...Seriously? JFC.. for the price expected way better..
2. About in settings shows Black Ceramic. Have the 45mm Steelie..

Workout screen
2 questions:

(1) what does the colored arc represent, blue, green, yellow? But sometimes there’s no arc.

(2) what does this tick moving tick mark mean?

I noticed the same issue yesterday on a treadmill run. The mark is supposed to indicate the current heart rate within the range denoted by the colored arc. It’s a bug, as the tick mark should always be in the arc. I did a treadmill run tonight, after updating the watch, and it was behaving correctly. Either the software update fixed it or it’s intermittent (hopefully the former).

Anyone else's watch ringing two or three times for a single notification after the update? Restarted the watch twice which didn't help

Occasionally but it's only happened about twice so far.

I don't have multiple rings for a single notification on Android.

Still have 2 existing problems after today's update. A random notification gets stuck on watch after it is dismissed on the phone, need to restart the watch to get rid of it.
And after I close media playing on the phone or after I finish a phone call, watch continues showing them on the face as active media session or an ongoing call.

I was hoping these issues would have been fixed, but had them both after the update.

Hi all, haven’t been able to update since I’m not back from my work trip but has the heart rate issue been fixed ? Thanks

I had no HR issues before the update, so that seems like something you’ll have to verify for yourself.

Unless that fix falls under “bug fixes and additional improvements” I wouldn’t hold my breath. Seems they only call out known widespread issues in their fix log. I wish they’d detail “bug fixes and additional improvements”

I agree with Ralph. I was a big complainer about the HR issue on the E5 but was ultimately able to fix it with position and tightness. I posted about it here a couple of days ago. There is an article linked in my post that I found helpful in getting the position just right.

Pretty rediculous at this point. This big update didn't even fix anything, actually just made more issues. Do they even test it? A fix for the media thing is to actually close the app not just minimize it

I’ll try to reposition when I get back .

In the lastest OS update, they now buried everything , including info and updates under the power icon section. And now the setting (gear icon) is just what updates are installed. Totally counter intuitive ui.

Happed again just now on the same treadmill screen so unfortunately the issue remains unresolved. I’ve already reported it to Tag Heuer, but please do the same if you care because they are definitely not monitoring this forum. Thanks!

Does anyone know what the lug to lug size is on the 40mm and 45mm? I wear a 41mm aquaracer now and it’s fits perfectly so want to compare it to this. I live quite far away from a TAG boutique so might have to order online without trying.

I’m thinking the 40mm is probably right for me - anyone who owns it, what do you think? Does it feel weighty and expensive like a proper TAG watch with the steel clasp or more lightweight like your typical smart watch?

Does anyone know what size spring pin is used for the strap? I find it extremely annoying that a pin isn’t included when buying a spare strap.

Hello everyone, i would like to ask something,
Is it likely that around this time next year the E5 will be introduced with new case color options and Tag Heuer OS 2? As far as I know, the E4 received new case colors every year.

Thanks @Hubert , you're very kind! 😅 The only Connected I've ever had experience with is the E2 Modular 45, my favourite of the five generations so far, but I'm eager to see more details on the E5.

At least, for iPhone and E2 Modular users like me, the E5 has the advantage (over E3 and E4) that, since it runs a different operating system than Wear OS, it should be possible to pair it with an iPhone in addition to the E2 Modular (or in addition to E1, E3, E4). So the E5 could be a complement to one of the four previous Connected generations, not a replacement. It will be interesting to confirm this possibility, of being able -for the first time- to have two TAG Heuer Connected paired to the same iPhone.
Just traded in one of my original Connected Calibe edition 1 (I kept the Kingsman special edition) and I can confirm I have both the new e5 and my Kingsman connected at the same time. I have the e3, but the battery life is so dire I rarely use it.
