I dunno, sunny is pretty self evident IMO, and fits in with the overall design ethos. Change your tint color, yellow or orange. It’s the rain and cloudy icons are the two I take issue with, they’re completely out of place.
But it’s not always red. If you change the colors of the watch face the “sun” color changes too. Compared to Apple Watches, Samsung and even Garmin this implementation of a sun icon is weak at best.

Disagree. It’s tinted to fit the UI. Fixed yellow color would be out place IMO. The icon shape is the weather. Whereas rain is just some weird foggy complication.

Partly cloudy fits nicely…

Look at watches with sun and moon phases on them. While they are not my favorite style, the sun/moon rarely look out of place.

IMO properly code weather app would just have an actual sun and not a colored blob. Even in your examples, the rain and clouds could be a sharp image. It’s just lazy and sloppy design on Tags part. This could have been done so much better and cleaner on their part.

There is one color where all the complications will show their "real color" not matching the watchface color...

Tag Connect app update 1.0.3 now available, but no new OS update.

I can say, steps do not sync as timely as they did in previous version. It now takes up to an hour for steps to sync with connect app and apple health. I now regret updating. Seems Tag takes one step forward and 2 steps back.
Same here - takes longer to sync and after disconnecting from bluetooth and adding it back to the iPhone all data from that day are gone

I think some of the delay is by design. The HR graph in the app shows the average HR every 15 minutes along with what it claims to be a range. But the range is less extreme than what the watch records, e.g., if you track a run and your HR briefly goes to 160, the watch and tracked run in the app will show 160, but the HR graph for the day will report a lower value, like 130 or something. My guess is that the app is set up to eliminate the effect of outliers, as these may reflect HR recording errors, and only shows the 10th and 90th percentiles, or something like that. This is a good feature. But these values (and the average) are only known after the 15-minute interval is over, so some delay is inevitable. Still, it should not take an hour, which it sometimes does.

For steps, the iphone is the arbitrator of the step counting (and other watch health data in the Apple health app). That data/polling interval can be as little as 1 minute. Yes, the health app can go back in time when it finally gets the data from the watch/tag app, but shouldn’t be 1 hour. It was not like that in 1.0.2.

It’s also annoying AF that the watch and Tag connect app steps don’t match even after a “manual refresh”. The manual refresh (pulling down) seems to do absolutely nothing.

Can someone who uses the E5 please enlighten me? Is it possible to reply to WhatsApp messages, even with templates? This is crucial because my entire purchase decision depends on it. I need to be able to do at least this, otherwise, this device would be nothing more than an analog watch with a digital screen for me.

Yes you can but the templates are very limited and you can't add more.

Friends, do you think it’s pointless for someone who already uses an Apple Watch Ultra 3 to buy the Tag Heuer Connected Calibre E5? I’m really torn. I love how the E5 looks, and its smart features are good enough, but I still can’t be sure. I’m thinking of wearing them alternately, but is that idea ridiculous? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

If you can afford it, it is a beautiful watch and worth it for the looks. If you need lots of smart watch functions then don't bother.

It is ridiculous… that someone needs to be spoon fed whether or not to spend $2k on a watch. Millenial FoMo? There are 29 pages of opinions, I’m sure you can figure it out yourself.

Am I behind the curve here? I just got a 5.4.4 update on my E5 with a bunch of fixes. Seems to be bug fixes.

Said the keyboard warrior desperately trying to validate himself on a consumer goods forum. By the way, I apologize to everyone here - regardless of what he writes next, I won’t be responding anymore. But I have to say, I find it quite tragicomic that this guy is trying to philosophize and pass judgment on a watch forum. Honestly, I almost feel sorry for him.”

And here you are, cannot make a decision, ask random people if it's ok to have 2 watches. And it's funny that you apologize here for his reply. He didn't say anything wrong/offensive, no need to see your apology.

I'm with Ralph25, I guess it makes me a "keyboard warrior" too.

Good luck making such a tough decision, hope you get the help you need here.
