Definitely no flash on mine. Also AOD works perfectly for me.
I'd suggest a full reset. If that doesn't work I'd return it or get it fixed under warranty.

Can't speak for iPhone but on android it starts when you play from your phone, then it can be accessed from a small icon that appears around the number 4 on watch face. Yes it shows album art (at least on Spotify).

It works the same way on iPhone. It shows artwork. It works well except that that small icon by the 4 o’clock mark does not appear when the sport app is on. So if you are working out, which is exactly when you’d like to use the music remote, you can only access it by pressing the crown for 5 seconds, then pressing it again briefly, then you see the main watchface where the 4 o’clock mark is visible, you can skip a track (say), then you have go back to the sport app. It takes so long you are better off getting your phone out from wherever it is. They really need to fix this and have the 4 o’clock mark appear also when the sport app is on. I’m a little disappointed the functionality was not improved in the last software update.

Sounds good, probably would be good if you could press one of the physical buttons to launch the remote when music is playing.

I usually have AOD on. But I just tried it without AOD and it’s completely smooth. The behavior on yours does not look right.

Thanks for the help. I have already asked tag heuer but, because i have bought the watch last week, i think i'm going return the watch, can you send me a video of your watch, because the seller told me that this was an error from the software, but tag heur will fix it till the end of the year and, with your response, i think this is not true, but i need a proof. Can you help me , please?

What happens when you press for siri? Can you ask it stuff like weather and it answers through the watch speaker or does it share something visual on the watch or none of above. I assume you cant ask it to change things like settings on the watch

I just tried asking about the weather and it said I need to unlock my iPhone first. IMO the voice assistant is a silly feature. Putting aside the need to unlock the phone, you need to have your phone nearby for it to work. But if your phone is nearby you can just say hey siri without needing to long press anything. Not sure what the point is.

Seems a bit pointless if it works like that, I think it would be useful if you can ask it something and it puts the answer on the watch which is probably how the AW works.

Yes, that’s how it works. Some functions work when the phone is locked. You can’t ask about the weather without unlocking, but you can say “text Lauren” and the watch will ask you what you want to text. Still, you could just do the same thing with Hey Siri, so I think it’s cool but a bit pointless.

Mine is the same if I have AOD turned off, completely normal. Not a big deal.

In second thought, maybe mine does it too. I always have AOD on so hard to tell. I tried to upload a video but it’s not working for me. I’d try turning off automatic brightness if it bothers your, as it may be that the screen comes on at max brightness at first.

yeah sounds a bit inconsistent. If the MFI thing means it can eventually work as expected every time like you ask for the weather, send a text, set an alarm then i think its useful to avoid reaching for your phone
