Hard pass … Service chrono hand which would be ok if the case was not a wreck. Very tough to find a corrector cap. Hands are rough as well. This would be ok as a donor /project watch for under 5 k.

It has been on sale for well over a year. The price is insanely high, given the worn dial condition. It looks tired and battered. A hard pass.

Would love to have some opinions on this Polerouter. Ive been searching for this specific case and dial for some months now at a reasonable price. This case is quite beat up on the back as well as the caseback. The hand are not original but I actually have the proper hands on stock so I can replace those easily. The crown is not original either but I think I can find one of those given some time. The date on the date wheel looks off to me so id like to hear some thoughts on that.

I think you've covered almost everything there is to know. I'd just add that the plexy isn't original and, as you mentioned, the date wheel has been replaced. However, if the watch is running properly, I don't see it as a major issue and that is also something easy to source.
That said, if none of this scares you off, then go for it and food luck with crown!

so the date wheel has definitely been replaced? You think I could find another one on ebay given enough time? What price would you consider too much for this watch? I know its subjective but id like to hear your thoughts

As a reference, this is what a correct date wheel should look like, you can see the font for the '2' is completely different. While that’s something you can probably find on eBay, I'm more concerned about the correct crown.

Given the overall condition of the watch, I wouldn't pay more than 6/700€ for it.

Oh thanks for the date wheel ref. That is useful. The bid on this watch has gone up too much for how rough it is. I may try my luck at the Rikketik convention.

Aren’t these the wrong hands for the dial (lume)?
Best
Good point … was too quick with my like on this one.

I’ve come across this type of case and caseback before. My assumption has always been that these were assembled by UG probably in the 1990s using old stock movements and dials.
