The Face dropped off of mine yesterday just after I bought a new £150 strap as the other broke. This is the second connect watch to break. Not happy with Tag

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like its a problem with the steel case E4's only as I'm not seeing any black titanium case E4 owners on this thread.
That indicates to me that it is likely a bonding issue between the ceramic vs steel compared to ceramic vs titanium, and is therefore a manufacturing issue.
I'm a titanium owner and despite my extreme clumsiness have never had an issue. BUT... it pisses me off to think that Tag is using sloppy manufacturing standards on devices we have spent good money on and expect fantactic (not just good) build quality, like we have with our regular Tag watches (proud 20+ year owner of a Monaco and Carerra).

I bought a steel case/ strap Connected E4 last month from Heinemann Duty Free at Sydney airport. Within a week while sat having dinner I noticed the face had detached. I have now had to send the watch back to Heinemann, who then have to send to Tag to verify the watch is genuine and there is no damage that has caused the failure, which there is not. I can’t imagine this process will be quick. My first and last Tag watch. I thought I was buying quality, but obviously not.

Adding to this thread as exactly the same happened to me a couple of days ago. This is after I only got the watch back from replacement due to the screen failing 6 months ago and after only ~60 days of use. This will be the fourth time in 3 years I will have had to get a totally new case due to all different major failures. I love this watch but it's getting the point that it's not fit for purpose from my personal experience.

Hi again all
@chawn Any news from your contact on this?
@djoconnor Yes, don't have it over to anyone just yet, we may well be getting together. I still have my "live dead watch", untouched or seen by Tag and will be hoping, like you, to get my money back.
I'm just not at all savvy on legal matters and hoping we can

Update on my defective watch. It was returned to Tag for evaluation and I clearly told them that I did not want a repair, but a full refund, which I am entitled to under Australian Consumer Law. After several weeks wait Tag agreed that the watch was defective and I got a full refund. I think Tag should stick to what they know best i.e regular watches. There is no doubt that their attempt at venturing into smart watches is failing and dragging their reputation down with it. I’ll never buy another Tag.

I just had the exact same issue. Mine is about 3 months after the 24 months. I'm on holidays in Vietnam and it fell when I got into the pool. I immediately went out and left it to dry. The screen died some seconds in between and then it shut down. I bought it in Colombia before moving to Sweden so I don't think there's much consumer law protection for my case. I am not going to Colombia until December so I may just go to the repair centre in Sweden. My warranty etc is at my mom's in Colombia so this will probably be a nightmare.

When will TAG stop selling these watches! They’re ruining their reputation, but more importantly, wasting everyone’s time and money.

So is it confirmed, this issue is only happening with steel watches? Like a prior poster, I don’t see any titanium owners in here. I think that might really be a strong data point for making a defective design argument!

Hi all, you can add me to the list! Watch currently being diagnosed with Tag for same issue of face detaching. This is a steel watch and happened in Dubai, which supports the comment of high temperature.

Good news, I just came to pick up my brand new watch! Tag didn't charge anything. 😀
