if they do drop down to 15% it's still a pretty hefty increase from a year ago that has to be paid for somehow, and it's going to be us paying.

It won't be me paying. I've decided not to participate in the price increases.

Was just at an AD whilst looking at the Speedy & Seamaster again.

The manager confirmed

Nothing

They found out today, but under embargo until next week, but did smile when I asked were they ready for the POs next week.

Planet Ocean with Spirate Technology? Hopefully they get rid of the Arabic numbers at 3,6,9 and 12, just indexes please 🙏

Not happening. They just released the updated Dark Side of the Moon without Spirate, and it's the same two-counters chronograph configuration as the Speedmaster Super Racing, so I doubt they'd take the time to suddenly design & release a time-only version.

Just got hit with a bunch of Omega advertising stating “It starts with Orange”

Sounds like new PO is imminent.

Or perhaps they will be announcing a program to provide Omegas to prisoners.

The target thickness really needs to be under 13mm, if they can get it close to 12mm it'll be a big improvement.

Looking at the leaks, it actually looks like they've gone from the Speedmaster Pro case shape that the original Planet Ocean was based on, to something like the FOIS case, but with crown guards. Definitely an interesting approach but if that plus the solid casebook and presumably a Cal 8806 movement can bring the down into that range, it could make for a very nice watch on the wrist.

It'll make the thicker PO 39.5, which is currently the best PO in the lineup need an update too though as it'll be smaller but fatter by comparison.

I pointed out the change in lug shape in the “leaked” renders in an early post to this thread. I’d say more a derivative of the Seamaster 300 heritage case, however. That’s listed at 41mm, but wears smaller, and is 14mm thick, but much of that is from the domed crystal. If they go with the solid case back and a flat, box crystal, they could likely get it close to just under 13mm.

Have you seen the new teaser? Literally an ocean view 🤷
No fun police response.

It could be anything. The Apollo modules landed in the ocean so it could be a new Speedy. We shouldn't waste time speculating.

Not just the ocean

There are some hints and it looks to me like a watch with integrated bracelet

I can finally see the sailboat!

but I mean i guess it's 50/50, the seamaster already released an orange variant, or is a new planet ocean, can't be space considering they've been all over the grey side of the moon.

Maybe it's a Hot Side of the Sun version of the Speedmaster.
