What do people think of Oris Watches. I have been looking at them on eBay and I quite fancy one but not sure about how good or desirable they are.
The new blue one they have out looked nice and that’s what prompted me to look on eBay.
All opinions welcome.

What 'blue one'? Any pictures or a ref?

IMHO Oris are riding a wave of on point design currently, the Sixty-Five is a great piece.

I have a few. They are great. My favorite is this one.

And this one was absolutely fantastic in the flesh (and I may be tempted)...

But those are just a very few from the vintage-inspired diver 65 range.

These are very well executed too...

Another ‘65...the two tone (bronze)...there is one with center link of the bracelet that is bronze, but I wasn’t able to snap pics.

The new chrono that dropped this week is a real stunner.

I had an Oris Big Crown Pro Pilot and it worked perfectly. No issues whatsoever.

I have the smaller size Aquis and love it. I wanted one of the 65 range but they looked too big on my wrist sadly.

The first limited edition Brashear bronze shown above is an awesome watch and definitely on my wtb list. The new chrono is pretty cool too.

All seem like well made and designed watches at a really good price for the quality.

They're a cool company too building houses for their staff, staying independent and they made a Bob Dylan Ltd edition which gets a 👍 from me!

Big crown ...bronze....green dial...saw one at AD the other day. Had I not just purchased an Apple Laptop and Pad ...I’d have lingered dangerously.

Yep, I tried these two on the other day... Darn nice watches!

The Oris watch of today is a totally different watch to the Oris watch from 50 years ago. Back then they were a cheap, jewelled, pin lever movement that was just a cut above a Timex. When you find one you like, get back to us with a photo of the innards.

The advertising says they are really reliable!

Shown is an example of the jewelled, pin lever movements used in Oris watches from the 1960s. You don’t want to be paying a current Oris price for one of these. In that era, they were a cheap watch. Hardly the pinnacle of horological evolution.

Current product is good. It’s a brand I’ve liked and serviced many of, and they are solid.

I came very close to buying the Sixty Five at a great price but wanted in on a bracelet rather than a strap and now love the newly released chrono.

I like my elderly (but not yet vintage) Oris. Two 7543 Pilots, both of which are accurate and easy to wear (and easy to set........ once I worked out the quickset date change)

And a rather older £50 beater which keeps very good time, and has a more traditional quickset date change.

I’ve owned the 65, it’s a great watch, especially at the price point.
