Got dad this Sixty-Five 40mm a couple years ago. Dad lives in it, wears it to the pool every day like a proper tool watch.
I can relate to this.
I bought my 40mm in early 2019 and wear it daily, stiĺl. Ocean swimming or long bushwalks, it is my gada. I put it on an Erika's Original the day I bought it and that strap is holding up very well. I thought it may loose its stretch after more then 3 years but so far so good.
The 36mm is a good size but the 16mm lugwidth I find too narrow for my taste.
Anyways, here's mine.

At one stage I thought I’d go for the 36mm but it was always just a bit more than I wanted to spend

I thought the 36 were 17mm between the lugs, but in either case, agreed, it was maybe not the best choice for Oris to go with something other than 18mm.

These were a better buy at the beginning of 2022, prices seem to be trending upward.

Anyone have an Oris x Momotaro denim strap?

I was really considering diver 65 - they are real beauties, and i love the looks! Then i started to browse and try them on in multiple ADs and finally did not pull the trigger because... there were too many options and I coulnd make up my mind ::facepalm1::
I know it is silly, but sometimes too much is... well... too much

Was looking back at my prior posts, did not even recall typing this! Took the below pic recently. Any other Oris wearers out there?

Just back from Darwin and Singapore, where my newly serviced 1968 168.024 Seamaster suffered with moisture ingress from the heat and humidity. Decided on getting a newer watch with screw-down crown. As I got stick wrists, 36-37 mm is an absolute maximum. It turned out that the heritage Oris sixty-five series comprised a 36 mm, now discontinued, and I found one from 2019 like new on eBay for a very decent price. I’ve never been that much into divers, but I really enjoy this watch. Some are bothered by the 17mm lug width and the slender bracelet, but it wears very well on me I think. Sapphire crystal is an added bonus.
I might want to remove a bracelet link - are there any caveats or do I just grab my Bergeon?

Yes, I’ve also got skinny wrists so the 7543 is probably my largest watch …
