For the Monaco GP weekend, here are two of my Senna winning Monaco GP cars. Senna's '87 winning Lotus 99T and '90 winning McLaren MP4/5B.
The Lotus is a 1/10th scale Tamiya Radio Controlled car. The Mclaren is also a 1/10th RC car but by Kyosho. Both built and painted by me about 35 years ago, recently brought out of storage.

A minor update to my Senna and Prost "The Last Podium" statue, added "Marlboro" decals to Senna's racing suit. The statue is very nice without Tabacco sponsorship, but it's the little details that matter. πŸ˜‰

This is my next model car project, the Fujimi 1/20th scale 1994 Williams FW16. I hope to finish it over the next few months.

With the completion of the Tamiya 1/20th scale 1992 McLaren MP4/7 plastic model kit, I've now built all of Senna's 1/20th scale Tamiya model cars. Which included his '87 Lotus 99T, '88 McLaren MP4/4, '90 MP4/5B, '92 MP4/7 and '93 MP4/8.

So now I plan to build the Fujimi kits, which include his '85 JPS Lotus 97T, '89 McLaren MP4/5, '91 McLaren MP4/6 and this '94 Williams FW16.

I'm very pleased to find this thread ! πŸ˜€
You do very nice work Mspeedster πŸ‘

I have built many model cars, white metal kits and resin mainly but some plastic kits too.
Here are some of mine, some photo's are from my phone and not great quality.
I built this 1/20 Alfa P3 from the old Casadio/Revival kit but added extra detail and heat staining to the exhaust etc. I have some other Revival kits but the Alfa is the best even though parts do not fit very well !

This Ferrari 375mm is a kit from the legend Vincenzo Bosica ,1/43 scale in white metal, doors and hood open with full engine detail. This kit came out in the 1980's and was mind blowing detail back then !

Jo Siffert Lotus 49 ,I built this from a 1/43rd scale white metal Meri kit. This kit was also designed by Bosica and has a lot of detail.
Incidentally my brother in law restores classic Porsche's and he restored the LWB 911 prototype that once belonged to Jo.
Bugatti Type 35 from the old Monogram kit but with many scratchbuilt parts.I think I added over 60 parts to the kit. I covered the seat with real leather and the body is stitched like a real one using wire stripped from electronics cable.I had to drill over a hundred 0.5mm holes. Yes,I have too much time !
Another Casadio/Revival- Mercedes this time. This kit is horrible to build, nothing fits and everything needs to be modified !

Ferrari 375 from the Carrera Panamericana, This is a very old and basic John Day metal kit from the 70's but I added extra details,Bosica wheels and a driver.
Another Type 35 built from an ancient Airfix kit. Again I fully wired the body and covered the seat in leather.I also made the base and case for it.
This is only 1/32 scale and quite small.
One of my cabinets. These are all 1/43 scale, some are white metal, some are resin kits and one or two like the Cunningham are scratchbuilt using spare Provence Moulage bodies. There are Automany,Record,MRF,Starter,Grand Prix Models and FDS kit in there from memory.
Last one for now,a Talbot Lago I haven't finished yet. This is the very cheap Smer kit but I made real wire wheels for it... I will never do this again as long as I live ! 🀬

Thanks Anthony, building these is usually secondary to working on my watches !
Somehow I manage to fit in restoring old tinplate clockwork toys too but that's another story, the joys of retirement !πŸ˜‰

Amazing! Your work is truly outstanding @Thehighwayman! The attention to detail is next level, really great stuff there.

Glad to see another who enjoys this hobby. There was a time, decades ago, when I would add lots of custom parts to give extra detail. But now days, I'm just too lazy. I especially enjoyed seeing your Monogram kit Bugatti Type 35, looks incredible. I made that kit too as a young lad, good memories.

Thanks very much for the kind words, really is appreciated πŸ˜€
The detail on modern kits is so good you don't need to add as much now!

That old Monogram Type 35 is still a pretty good kit, quite accurate even though it's been around for decades.
There is much detail you can't see on the photo. I put a real aluminium floor in it, drilled out the instruments and glazed them with decals at the back. The exhausts were drilled out and the exhaust hanger made from brass sheet. The pulleys and chain for the hand fuel pump I made using fusee chain from old pocket watches!

I have many more models at the other house, I'll add some more photos next time I go back πŸ‘

Next time I go back at the end of the month I'll do some macro shots 😁
Thinking back, I actually had to make the whole hand fuel pump myself as it's not in kit all. I used wire, brass sheet and a cut down tube from a springbar, love it when hobbies overlap!

Back at the other house for a couple of days and I promised a few more!

Some detail shots of the Bugatti first..
Next up a rare South Eastern finecast 1/24 MGB roadster. A white metal kit and very heavy.Tough build these! Another Revival Alfa P3
Old Wills finecast 1934 ERA, not great detail but a charming model.

Rare Western Models 250 GTO, 1/24 scale and again very heavy being white metal.
Couple of plastic one's..
A lairy Charger, I think it was a Revell kit but might have been AMT.
Finally for now a Chevy Nova, another Revell kit.
