Finally got a minute since leaving the Summit. Ive been travelling down to Italy since breaking up with the group in La Chaux De Fonds.
1) Switzerland is beautiful
2) The group of collectors we had were so NOT in love with themselves and were all so humble. Rare in a group this large.
3) I too had imposter syndrome in terms of being bamboozled by all the reference numbers that were being rattled off at will by many of the more informed of the group
4) So may nationalities represented, me from way down under in NZ to all the way up in Norway and everywhere in between.
5) The Tag Heuer staff were a highlight for me. They were so nice down to earth, cheerful always with smiles and laughter. In probing them for how they really felt, I could feel that Tag Heuer is a great place to work, although part of a global corporate GIANT in LVMH, Tag Heuer it seems has been able to keep it's innocence. I was blown away by how much access we were given and how must trust was put in us visiting areas of the HQ that even I felt like "Should we be seeing this"
Hats off to Nicholas Biebuyck and his team for organising a great event.
Thanks Nicolas for showing us a great time.
I know I wasn't alone in feeling like this was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I am so glad I grabbed it.
Yes, my Tattoo along with Anthony's got a bit of camera time but to be honest, they were way overshadowed by the incredible array of Grail watches. The chance to touch some of the watches we only get to see on our computer screen was a great privilege.
Maybe the number one highlight for me was being able to meet Arno Haslinger.
Such a down to earth guy, but so cool with it.
he gets my Vote for the next James Bond.
To all the forum members I met face to face for the first time.
Great to meet you all, some of the best humans I have met for a long time.
