Based on this ad (see middle watch on Row 2), it would seem to be correct in gold cap, but not with the standard chapter ring.:

But it's going to take a lot of work to fix it up. The dial is probably beyond saving.

Expect to see this watch with a different dial and chapter ring in an auction near (or maybe not so near) you. And I doubt the price will be anywhere remotely close to $750.

Woah, very nice! I've never seen it before.

I think the ring would have been lumed but not sure anyone knows for certain because we've not seen one before and because it's near impossible to read the ad above.

It is a shame about the dial.

I would certainly have tried to buy it but sadly it looks like it sold whilst I slept over here in the UK. That's it! No more sleeping.

doesn't that advert say nitelite marker ring?

should I have bought it at $750? I was on the fence for all the reasons I mentioned already...

Difficult to value something that is fairly knackered but ultra rare.

I would probably have paid twice that but I don't pretend to be rational when it comes to Polerouters.

I'm going to edit my post above after seeing this on the "springbar.com" site:
The advertisement above reads golden center and nitelite marker ring
.
That is not a "nitelite" ring.

Interestingly, it's identical to both examples of the 20214-14 shown on the Springbar guide (I take it back, we have seen one before).

Not one of these three watches has any sign of having had lume on the ring.

But the description in the advert does seem to say "nitelite". The description for the 20214-13 also says "nitelite" and we have evidence that was lumed as we have the watch belonging to @FREDMAYCOIN to admire (also included in the Springbar guide).

Did Polerouters have plated cases? I thought they were gold capped.
There were also three case types, stainless steel, 300 micron 18k gold cap, and 18k gold.
From Springbar.com

300 microns is thicker than the gold cap used on Omega and Rolex. You'd need to use a high-speed polisher to get below that thick of a layer of gold.

I simply can't tell if the chapter ring on the Polerouter.com example has radium or not.

Too much glare.

I take your point but I don't think it does have any lume.

I think you can just about make out the radial markings, which aren't visible when the ring is lumed.

I tend to agree. And seeing three examples now (potentially) with no lume on the ring, and no examples (potentially) with lume in the ring, makes me wonder if there is a possible mistake in the advert?

If I had seen these other examples without lume on the chapter ring, I probably would have pulled the trigger last night at $750, but just didn't feel confident enough. Polerouters in general, and BA polerouters in particular, are not an area where I know a lot........

As far as I’ve been able to find out reference 20360-3 and only that one can have microtor + broad arrow hands, I also believe most have patent pending movements.

20360-4 too

I've not seen either in person but there is a 20360-4 on the Polerouter reference website.
