Hi all,
I am new to this Forum and joined to buy two watches from panaitchrono. However he has taken my money and now will not reply to me, I have not received the watches. Has anyone else had any dealings with this person? Unfortunately I paid by bank transfer so I have no recourse.
Does anyone have any advice for me?

I suggest you contact one of the Mods if you have concerns.

You are correct. I have a sneaking suspicion that he has re-registered on here using a different name. I don't have alot to go on but I know he is from Romania and have some bank details.

He's registered as a business on ebay, so his address details are there... might be worth grabbing those before he closes that account too..

If you have the name and the bank account i advice you to go to the police. Give them also the conversation you had with him.
If you and others that had bad experiences with this type of sellers don't do anything they will keep on doing the same thing, "robbing".
I'm a seller and a collector from Romania and I am having troubles in my sellings because of crooks like him. I've build my reputation and a crook destroys it.
I can help you with informations of you need to translate or get phone numbers from Romanian police.

Ps: buy the seller!

Can you report the seller on Chrono24 without dealing with them? Perhaps a link to this thread so he doesn't rip anyone else off.

yes, you can, and I have - wouldn't hurt if a few other folks did the same too though, just to push the message that this guy is a scum bag. 👍

That’s such a dramatic turnaround in reviews that one has to wonder if his account hasn’t been hacked, or maybe the business has been taken over by someone with fewer scruples.

Or he padded the account by selling lots of low value DVDs to get good ratings... and then started ripping people off? 😉

Possibly, but it seems he had at least a couple of legit watch deals before he went rogue recently:
