In fact, during the Gemini III spaceflight mission, both astronauts Gus Grissom and John Young wore an Omega Speedmaster 105.003-63 and an Accutron Astronaut GMT pilot watch (tuning fork 214 movement) !
The 4 hours 52 minutes long Gemini III mission took place on 23rd March 1965 and the Omega Speedmaster was not yet flight-qualified for NASA, as that official announcement came out on June 1, 1965... so the 4 Omega Speedmaster chronographs used on Gemini IV were the first official NASA chronographs in use...

Remember that in April 1966 NASA has 30 astronauts on active flight status but only had about 20 Speedmaster chronographs...
