Haha, always love a watch/dog pic.
We have three. It's hard to take a picture without at least one of them interrupting 馃榿

Is it just me or do the end links with the 1171 not really fit the ST? In every photo there always seems to be an abrupt square cutoff as the bracelet wraps around the wrist that looks odd, and the different direction of the brushing between the lugs and the end links makes this all the more odd.

I think the modern bracelet looks best as the vintage style just looks off.

Can understand what you mean about the straight edge of the end links if that is what you are describing, more or less noticeable depending if you have skinny wrists or not I guess (I do). I personally think it looks fine. The brushing of the lugs and the end links though, surely that's always the case with brushed cases, certainly can't see anything weird there and just looks as you'd expect to my eyes.

I will say that it looks much better on the wrist than it does in photographs, but obviously there will be some that simply won't like the combination.

I've worked out what it is. Its the fact that on the bracket itself the centre links and side links are aligned, whereas on many other options they are stepped. Means that for say the modern 1998 bracelet the centre section of the end link extends another half link further than the side links, providing a more rounded profile to the bracelet. With the 1171 the links are all aligned so you get that direct cut off.

That is a concern. I wonder if the 1171 bracelets chew up the lugs in the same manner.

It looks to me like the end links on the modern speedy do not fit snug to the watch and have some overlap onto the lugs. That being the case, there's going to be marks even when you are babying the watch

I'm thinking of getting a 1171/633 combo for my ST. I also recently picked up a Watchco SM300 - has anyone tried the 1171/633 on the SM300?

Hi,

When you say modern speedy bracelet do you mean the 1171/633 bracelet ?

I am considering the 1171 bracelet but not if it scratches the lugs like on the photo you posted.
Any info would be great. Thanks

Can confirm the modern 1171/633 does indeed scratch the underside of the lugs like that so if you wish to avoid it then that isn't the bracelet for you.

Thank you so much for letting me know. I will to think long and hard about it. The bracelet does match the ST
