Does anyone know anything about a green and black Carrera Extreme Sports GMT?
I guess that must be it! Thank you. Is it on sale?
It's weird how things keep popping up but they don't appear on any websites, like those two Extreme Sports I found on a bracelet in a boutique and the red/blue Extreme Shanghai LE that Michael mentioned.
It doesn't seem to make any difference to change location on the TAG website any more either, you just get the same watches everywhere.
It’s been an absolute nightmare trying to get one client we have here the new carbon Monaco.
I regret to inform you that this will not be possible. Due to the very high demand for the TAG Heuer Monaco Flyback Chronograph TH-Carbonspring, it is currently unavailable for viewing.
: *in combination with the strict limitation of only 50 pieces worldwide, that we have to inform you that there will not be an opportunity for you to place an order for this timepiece. *
The TAG Heuer Monaco Flyback Chronograph TH-Carbonspring will not be available for purchase in any of our boutiques worldwide and cannot be purchased online
A member on a local watchforum had this convo just the other day:
No way at this price point they have/will find 50 buyers.
It doesn't seem like the price is the inhibiting factor, as they have buyers lined up. But their sales channel seems to have constraints on who is allowed to purchase one. Or even the process of how to get one for a client.
We have had two individual ones in my store alone also. But there is a… Let’s just say “application process” we have to submit to TAG Heuer in order to be eligible to be allocated one to a client
If I'm understanding you correctly, it's not necessarily the client who needs to have the right qualifications (e.g. significant purchase history), but the specific Boutique may also need to meet certain criteria to get an allocation for the given store. Is that right?

No not entirely the boutique. Because it was quite easy for the two clients who were interested to leave deposits toward the piece. But it seems that Tag wants to go through its own qualifications process for client who shows significant interest. As far as spend history goes, I definitely think that it helps, but it doesn’t seem to be any guarantee either. My store hasn’t heard back from our two submissions yet, but given they’re only 50 of these I dare say it’s only going to go to specific super high profile clients.
Perhaps they are carefully selecting customers who won't blab about it if the carbon hairspring fails again?
