They're also dead wrong on it being "the first Porsche Carrera", there having been two previous - the 356 and the 904.

RS stands for Rennsport in German, meaning race sport. The Carrera name was reintroduced from the 356 Carrera which had itself been named after Porsche's class victories in the Carrera Panamericana races in Mexico in the 1950s.
The Carrera script on the side and the fun extra NATO are exactly the kind of fun things a Porsche tie-in should have. This is what the Porsche editions should have been from the start.
Exactly right. As I said in another thread, this is first TAG x Porsche Collaboration watch that actually feels "Porsche-like" to me. I think the Carrera stripe on the side of the case will resonate with most 911 owners. It's the coolest feature of this watch to me and I applaud TAG Heuer on their efforts on this one. 👍
