Saw this video on Twitter of an Astronaut repairing his Omega Speedmaster X-33 Mars in zero gravity aboard the international space station, have to say I was pretty damned impressed to see him digging into it, and his turnaround time is also rather impressive, especially for an amateur:

Fantastic post & I wonder if Omega designed the new generation Speedmasters to be more easily repaired while being used in space?

I can't see an astronaut taking apart an 1861...

Taking apart a 1861 in zero gravity would be skill level 2, and they must master multiple quartz repairs in outer space before moving to the 1861 level. 😀

Cool video, especially when the caseback floats up so nonchalantly.

If the took apart an 1861 they'd need half a roll of duct tape to hold that many parts instead of that short strip. 😜
