Confused?

In the mid 90s the True Lies movie was a favorite of mine.

I am watching the pilot for a TV series of the same name. The protagonist, Harry Tasker and his wife have been abducted - like in the movie - and the spy activated the emergency beacon on his El Primero.

I recall Siskel and Ebert raving about the gadgets in the movie and how they exceeded whatever Q supplied 007.

Omega Sector? That’s Harry’s agency.

I wonder if Omega was asked to supply watches? Would they refuse because of Bond, for a TV series?

Classic movie. I read somewhere recently that True Lies was basically created as a James Bond parody. Maybe that was obvious to some but it never occurred to me at the time. I’m a big Ahhhnold fan. He’s perhaps the only celebrity I’d care to meet.
