Hey guys,

This weekend 3 separate Yahoo auctions by the same seller ended for NOS Zenith S.58 cases with bracelet (btw, interesting unsigned bracelet). All with dial and some with hands and crown.

The one in the pictures below, the most complete and with hands and lume seemingly in good condition, sold for around $5000.

For all pieces there are no movements. But this should be no problem for anyone to source.

Any bets that we will see some NOS complete watches show up on auction or at a dealer in the near future?

Just a heads up.

Does anyone know how they ended up like this? Watchmaker estate?

I'm guessing it's spare parts inventory from an at one time Zenith dealer/service centre in Japan.

The seller was selling many other Zenith case and bracelet components.

Judging from the Japanese on the caseback sticker, these cases were all specifically intended for the Japanese market.

Wow, what a find! Still regretting trading away my S.58 years ago.

The exhibitor appears to be a used goods store(reuse shop), known in Japan as a "recycle store".

By the way, the Japanese words on the sticker on the back of the watch are "この時計は完全調整済みでございます".

In the picture, you see a price tag of 65,000 Japanese yen.
The winning bidder had the same ID for all three. The number of bidders' ratings suggests that they were probably Japanese bidding agents such as Buyee. View attachment 1469561
