thanks. So i dont need to get a Sinn anymore?

No, it means you need at least a half a dozen Sinn watches too. And the most expensive models. 馃榿

Yema Sextuor

Is that the new Speedgraf reedition? If so, can you share some thoughts? I was curious about it but ultimately decided not to go for it.

I must say that the colours combination is very attractive, but I don't know much about bronze to be honest in terms of long term "resistance". How will it look in 10 years etc ... Obviously, assuming the watch stays in the rotation that long. I really like the blue, but I have too much blue already, I'd like to include some green now in my collection 馃榾

Now what I like about my current AF Superman is that it is a strap monster! It is just a tad too big I think

Bronze should be like silver, in that you can polish and clean the patina away to start over whenever you want. Not everyone loves bronze but I wouldn鈥檛 worry about it鈥檚 ability to hold up to the elements.

that new kickstarter dark green superman is pretty nice. might of even looked better going with the faux lume

$545 is solid as well....not really that gung ho of this in house movement being any better than a swiss....you know it will have to go back to yema if anything goes wrong...then, bammm..shipping to and from france + cost to fix/service could be really steep

yema doing this really sends the wrong message with their customer base that paid 1k for their other superman's

Yema will offer a discounted upgrade for those:

WHAT ABOUT MBP1000 CALIBER OWNERS?
Our new in-house Caliber YEMA2000 is an evolution of the MBP1000 Caliber: several components have been improved in terms of quality and tolerances so as to achieve fundamental gains in precision and durability. Lifetime maintenance of our first generation in-house Caliber MBP1000 is secured by the principle of interchangeability, this is, interchangeable components that are, for practical purposes, identical but of higher quality and performance.

This interchangeable approach offers additional advantages to MBP1000 owners:

In the short future our customers will be given the possibility to replace their MBP1000 date wheel disc by the new (white or black) ones, and/or completely upgrade their first generation caliber by the new YEMA2000.

REPLACE MBP1000 CALIBER BY THE NEW YEMA2000
- Promotional Offer: US$ 250,00 + shipping costs till 31-12-2020

- As from January 1st, 2021: US$ 349,00 + shipping costs

REPLACE MBP1000 DATE DISK BY THE NEW YEMA2000
- White and Black disk wheels available: US$ 99,00 + shipping costs

The in-housing is certainly kind of a pain but should only be an issue in the case where parts are needed. Still, at $545 (or $750 for a GMT) the initial outlay isn't too shabby. I'm neither a bronze enthusiast nor have another watch in my budget this year beyond those already pre-ordered and paid for, but the blue GMT is speaking to me for some reason... will have to see next week when it launches on Kickstarter.

the price is nice, no doubt. for the whole watch....but what if the in house movement is worse than an average eta.........which can't be entirely ruled out..

if i bought a heritage superman with eta i would certainly not send it in for their so called "upraded in house movement",,,and pay 250-350 for it...

pretty soon many watch brands will have an in house, and the majority will be worse than an eta or a pain in the ass to service without taking you to the cleaners

I think it'll be fine, but what I'm saying is I'm more likely to accept the service prices if I pay $750 for the early-bird watches rather than the eventual MSRP

I'm disappointed they're only offering the bronze cases in this kickstarter round - I really don't like them compared with the ss models.

I like the blue GMT but just not sure if I will like the bronze. I wish they offered a stainless option. Pair that with their coffin bracelet.....man that would be killer!

Although I do like their brushed bronze watches, I don't care for this "pebbled" look--or whatever you call it. Looks cheap to me.

these two new hyped up in house 2000 movements dropped in a stainless case with bronze bezel are going to be $545 on kickstarter. people have paid almost double that for their heritage sub with an eta inside.

i think yema is going to phase out all eta and their prices will even come down, not go up because of it. i never heard of such a thing. business's don't usually charge you less for a better product

Why would anyone want to pay $99 for a datewheel where single digits are not centered properly and the font is terrible?

i don't even get that part. does the date wheel only fit the new movement making it a must buy,..or is it just a potential upgrade in yema's eyes.

They believe that a colour change is worth 99$ I guess 馃榾
