I didn't believe Joisey was peach country - corn and apples, sure, but peaches? - but then I came across this fascinating treatise:

I stand corrected.

Very big blueberry and cranberry industry here too. And the Jersey tomato is considered the best of the best. We always pick up a cantelope or watermelon at one of the many fruit stands on the side of the roads here.
