Which of these JLC would you not buy?

I absolutely, 100%, am not going to buy either of these. But hypothetically, if you had to? Like, if there was a gun to your head? Which would be your preference?

I dress down 99% of the time - so wouldn't want anything too dressy. And I thought going into the AD the black dial would be more casual, and therefore more versatile. So I am trying to figure out if this is true. I honestly can't tell, and I'd hate to make the embarrassing faux pas of wearing the wrong dial-colour JLC 馃槈

Any advice?

On the wrist it is the silver dial that gave me the more immediate rush. The black dial almost underwhelmed.

The silver dial is dressier and probably shows off the details of the moonphase better, but I really like the black one. This photo's kinda rough but in reality it's nice and inky

If it's not a tank, why bother.

I prefer dressier watches in any occasion, and I'm dressed down quite often.

I own the silver dial. Amazing watch. IMO, it looks better than the black when viewed in real time.

I would pass on the silver dial.

Black dial... love the contrast of the black and gold... it's striking in my opinion. Both nice.

JLC silver dials usually provide a lot of shades of grey, may be not 50, but still sexy.
Black ones are just dark...nothing appealing for me.

They're both stunning, but I've always found dark dials with silver or gold hands and makers very difficult to read in dim conditions. I tend to favor lighter dials for dressier watches.

I love Omega, but they鈥檙e not in JLC鈥檚 league. Neither is Rolex.

No-one really is except for Patek, Vacheron, AP and Lange and JLC beats them all in value for money!

There are very few JLC watches I would not buy! I really like black dials, but moonphase is one complication I prefer on a white dial.

I would probaby go with the white but if you're only going to wear it at night I would go with the black

It's a completely different ball game. JLC is not concerned with robustness. Omega and Rolex are not as concerned with finishing. Omega and Rolex for dailys and JLCs for special ocasions
