What strap do you reccomend

Morning, arvo, etc depending on where you are.

I’ve just picked up a 1940’s. I think 34mm Zenith Dress watch with fixed lugs.

You may notice that it’s current strap is repugnant 😀

I’m thinking I should get an 18mm leather nato, but are there other options I should consider?

Nato strap will distract from those lugs which are the star of the show IMO. I'd go for a croc strap

As these are fixed lugs, I'd put a single piece pass-through leather strap(one piece NATO, I think they're sometimes called).
For something more casual, maybe a brown or dark olive perlon? (I am a fervent apostle of the gold+perlon combo)

Thanks I’m edging that way- a one piece, thin leather strap with leather keepers
