I should add one of my others:

The TAG was a trusty beater before my first Omega, and survived many years of competitive sailing, which is about the hardest thing a watch can go through, being beaten against steel and aluminium while soaked in salt water for half a day at a time.

WTF !!!..LOL.
I thought this was a serious forum for professional people with a thirst for horological excellence.
A learned society formed in 2011. It exists to promote the study of clocks and watches and the history of time measurement in all its forms.
So what do we have.... A mad man who has more watches than finely ironed shirts, with a cat wearing a tin foil hat promoting the MB&F Autumn collection !.
VERY.. VERY.. FUNNY !!!.

Take a good look - I don't think that cat likes that MB&F watch, nor the foil hat.

....and that isn't me. I don't wear tin foil - I wear aluminum strainers.

Couldn't help but post this... some poor soul is selling one of these Paris Hilton watches... to set the scene, they retail (not I didn't say "sell") for $250,000 for the pink version, $150k for the yellow, and 100k for the lesser versions.

http://www.abazias.com/jewelry/paris_hilton_watches.asp

Here's the online dealer marketing them.

So one of them ends up on ebay, used for $50,000 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250869766927#ht_830wt_1011

After a quick google, http://www.topperliquidators.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=84&products_id=3267

So, 85% off a brand new $150,000 watch. And I can assure you, if I told them I was interested and asked for a discount, they'd oblige and then some to get these hideous pieces of rubbish off their inventory before they get melted.

$250,000... No I won't go a Paul Newman Daytona, or a Patek chronograph, I'll have a gold piece of bling on a cheap leather strap named after a bird.

Well get in line buddy... because i'm first !!!. lol.
I love the quote on the Ebay item,
No. 01 in the collection was bought by the CEO of Abazias diamond jeweler. This is #02.
But he forgot to finish his sentence.. This is #02, which was found in the bin at the back of the shop !.

Hey Dsio look another "GMT"!
took another watch from the old man, 1974 Seiko Navigator Timer 6119-6419. I'm digging the 1970s style so i plan to get it polished and get the scratches out, should clean out nice. Love the kink in the Red hand to clear the Lume (which is still bright after all these years). Not as Spectacular as the speedy but still pretty cool! works great too.

I got an email from them a couple of days ago letting me know that the HM5 will be unveiled in 2 weeks time in Singapore and Mexico, don't ask me why those two locations! Will probably call them up and run something on it.

The only clue they gave me was "P.S. Rumour has it, our friends Kari Voutilainen and Jean-François Mojon might have an idea of what’s going on…"

Kari makes watches by hand : http://www.voutilainen.ch/
Jean has a watchmaking company called Chronode and he has produced watches in conjunction with Harry Winston. That's all I know so if anyone wants to make some calls!
