I know they are from a fashion brand but their watches are pretty innovative, high quality and with that expensive.
Do you think they hold value well?

I have targeted a Magnesium Chrono in blue.

They are well made, Bulgari is owned by LVMH now. But they are thinly traded and won't hold their value all that well, but if you like it.....

It might be geographical. In the south pacific as well as HK Bulgari has a big fan base. NYC as well. I especially like the older model scuba on it's bracelet. Snazzy looking sports watch.

Can't help but think of this when I see the name...

Having said that, the Octo Finissimo line is pretty nice.

I like the Bvlgari Bvlgari line. So nice they named it twice. Designed by Genta.

supposedly the Octo line was designed by Genta as well.

Yes the Octo seems to be gaining traction but I’m unsure on this one. Would have to see it in the flesh.

I’ve never been a fan. I don’t believe they hold their value or appreciate as watches, but as jewelry, especially, vintage, I believe they do hold their value based on the gems.

Think they marketed the Octo Finissimo very well, got the right people wearing them all over the place.

Well known vintage lovers are seen wearing them even, but may have been gifted?

Big fan of the Bvlgari Diagono Scuba -- the SD38S -- on bracelet from the late-1990s. Very underrated and hence fairly cheap (roughly US$ 1000) on the secondary market. Here's a pic from the net:

The new aluminium sports watch looks nice, might try to pick one up used as I suspect they will take a large depreciation hit (2.5k for an eta 2892) imo watches with this movement should be 2k at most.

quite
a polarising design too I imagine, but I’m very bored of steel watches with inoffensive cases and dials.

Agree, every time they stamp BVLGARI on something they charge $500 so the true value is around 2k.

Then again I can’t see the clasp or caseback in these images so the true value might be closer to 3k.

If you like it, you like it. Many will thrash it, some will appreciate it. Expect very very little resale value. They’re coming back in the watch geek world bc of the octos.
