What are some interesting Pulsation dial watches?

My wife is FINALLY finishing her medical training after more than a decade and I'd like get her something to commemorate the event.

I've been looking for examples of pulsation dials/bezels but have had trouble finding one that's smaller than 40mm (looking at you Speedy w/ Pulsations).

I know she likes the Heuer Carrera 36mm case/chronograph style, but with the 2447P being such a rare example, I'm not sure if I could afford it even if I found one.

I've considered a vintage Mido and a few others, but I figure I'd reach out to the community for your collective knowledge. I'm open to both modern as well as vintage. Thanks in advance!

There are 321 Seamasters at 36-38mm I believe. UG made some stunning ones also around 36-38mm.

The Omega Museam collection has some 2 interesting pieces... but this one stands out and I had not seen it before.

38-39mm But finding one of these....

And the more normal one..38-39mm

They are a tad pricey, but I bet with some hunting esp in Japan you might be able to find one at a massive discount.

The mido is a really good choice. I was looking for one but this dial is quite difficult to find in good shape...

You could hunt out a decent Seiko 6139-6020 chronograph. Nice looking watch that wouldn't break the budget.
I also have a nice Tissot hand winder with pulsations bezel.

if you want new and less expensive than a Vacheron or Patek 5170......try www.sgallen.com

this is the bigger version but they do make some in more mid-size
(and it's disinfectable)

and of course a chronostop

Aren't there a bunch of old Longines with pulsations scales?
I have this one:

She's a 1966 ref.69-384A in 18K.
35mm, I believe...

I had also considered a few others:

Gallet Medigraph: Pretty rare. I've only ever seen the gold version and that cleared for $4 more than 2 years ago. Likely this is beyond my budget.

Lemania Pulsation: I've actually seen a couple of these around. But something about the non-lumed hands get to me.

Oo-oh! I love that Lemania!

Do let me know if you ever see one for sale...

... my 18k Longines above I've considered selling...🤔 ... I just never wear gold!

Consider a vintage Accutron with the Pulsation dial. It's a perfect size for a lady ~36mm, battery operated so no need for daily winding or a winder. In my experience, non watch-nerd women REALLY don't want to deal with winding and setting (EVER) but has a tuning fork so more interesting than quartz

218 has a date also, if that's a consideration. Variety of cases too. They can be quite charming.
