Watch winder?

Do any of you keep your automatics on a watch winder? Seems very convent with multiple automatics. Is there a negative to keeping it on a watch winder? Wear and tear on the watch? I love the idea of having them ready to go and kept in a nice display box. Would love to hear any recommendations anyone has. Thank you!

At the moment I store my two auto watches in the sock drawer, it's opened at least once a day and so the movement does cause the watch mechanism to wind very slightly, not a lot but better than nothing?
