Currently have this one incoming:

And already had this one:

Really like the brand - history, name, etc - and particularly the Cricket. Still looking for a nice stainless steel piece, one day...

Anyone else have a Cricket you want to show? It can be vintage, modern, Revue or Vulcain branded... Let's see 'em!

And my favorite non-Vulcain Cricket.

What's the story on that Nivada? I assume it has the same movement (MSR S2/ V. 120)?

Btw that nautical is killer

Yes, same movement. Nivada is one of the rare brands that used it.

Thanks! One of my all-time favorites.

.

That's interesting -- did Vulcain (or rather MSR I suppose) "loan" this movement to other brands too? Any idea which?

Sweet watches.

Indeed! And some can sometimes still be found in the(relatively) affordable segment. I wonder for how long that will be. Some other examples have already gone up in (unrealistically high) prices

By the way, does anyone know what's going on with Vulcain nowadays?

Last I heard they were (on the verge of) going bankrupt, dismissing half their staff in 2016 amid gloomy financial reports. Can't seem to find any updates since. Website still on, but not updated (says new collection 2016...)

Local AD here was discounting some modern models and eventually took them out of the shop window altogether...
