Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum and hoping you can help me with a few questions about finding a replacement bracelet for my Tag Heuer 964.013.

Here's what I'm hoping to learn:

  1. What are the key indicators for spotting fake bracelets for this model?
  2. Is there a prevalence of counterfeit bracelets for vintage Tag Heuers like the 964.013 in the market?
  3. Could you recommend some reliable websites or vendors for vintage Tag Heuer parts, specifically for bracelets?
  4. What is the correct bracelet size I need for the 964.013, and would a bracelet from a 964.006 fit?
Thanks so much for your guidance!

The one good thing about the TAG Heuer 2000 series (vintage 80s - 90s) is that the fake watches look nothing like the genuine ones. As for bracelets, these may be more difficult to obtain and you may need to order direct from TAG Heuer. You can try Authentic Watches. I posted a link below. For your mid-size case, I believe you would need an 18mm inlet (end link) size.

Please keep in mind that in 1995, TAG Heuer updated the 2000 and changed the bracelet (the newer bracelets are what are currently available from Authentic Watches). I think that the newer bracelet should fit the older models since the case is basically the same, but I'm only making an educated guess at this point.

I got a NOS bracelet for my Classic 2000 from my local TAG Heuer Service Centre a few years ago. I still have the original bracelet and its in decent shape. But the new bracelet looks awesome! I'm not aware of any counterfeit bracelets (similar to the hyper-fakes of the more modern models like the Aquaracer and F1). Whether anyone else made after-market bracelets and parts for 2000 series watches - I wouldn't know. I have my doubts as I'm thinking there would be very limited demand.

Also, the correct bracelet size for a 964.013 (mid size) will not be the same as a 964.006 (full size) and they are NOT compatible.

Have you considered getting a nice strap to go with the watch if your bracelet is no longer useable?
