The fake kits are still everywhere and in the UK there’s a bunch of idiots/scam artists still insisting they’ve remarkably found a cache of new old stock cases, bezels and dials Which they’ve used to give a mint Omega movement a new home.

Utter rubbish and 90% of sellers know they’re lying through their teeth.

Take this one for instance.

What is more concerning is these fake SM120’s are now so prevalent, they are in general circulation and Unfortunately some genuine, well meaning dealers are getting caught up in this. I’ve messaged two UK dealers over the last couple of months to tel them the SM120 they were selling was fake and worthless. I believe they genuinely had no idea and both pulled it from sale the same day. But, how many are being sold to unsuspecting buyers by honest dealers who are slightly out of their depth and genuinely don’t know they’re selling a fake?

Well I reported this and as usual eBay have rejected it saying it doesn’t breach their policies.

The reason ebay will not pull the listing is i assume " as listed" the seller has described the watch as a rebuild

It’s absolutely not as listed. It’s described as rebuilt using genuine new old stick parts. It has in fact been rebuilt with new, fake parts. Very different.

I agree totally, but ebay will keep to there rules / policy and will not get into the depth of fake parts etc. The only good thing is posts on the Forum will come up on google searches and make general public aware of rebuilds and fakes
