Hello, recently made a post about a vintage seamaster I had purchased. You guys educated me about the dial being refinished and it was not good so I started doing my own research. Think I’ve learned what to look for and what not, but still learning. Is this an original dial?

Probably, but hands are not original

Unless that watch has tremendous sentimental significance, I can't see the appeal.

Discerning originality takes time and experience.
Next comes condition. This dial is a mess badly damaged
If the dial looks like a pepperoni pizza it’s not good!

Thanks for the replies, I wasn’t thinking of purchasing this one just wanted to know if it was original because I’ve seen a few different dials and want to know if this is how the original lettering is because I bought one and was told the dial was refinished, just want to know what to look for

It's a better use of everyone's time if you ask about watches that you are seriously considering for a purchase. There are many other ways to find examples of correct dials.

I’m new to vintage omega and I’m just trying to get some knowledge from experienced people, if someone doesn’t want to waste their time they don’t have to, and if someone just feels like helping I appreciate it as well

Well you don't have to take my advice, but that's what I'm trying to tell you. People, including me, are willing to help if you are serious about buying something. There is generally a lot less interest in playing the "is this an original dial" game. You were just getting comments because people thought you were considering the watch. If you keep posting quizzes for us, I think you'll get a lot less engagement as time goes on. But go ahead and proceed however you prefer.
