I don't usually post in here but just thought that these vintage AP chronographs were just too nice not to. If only AP would make pieces like this again.

Is it in my mind, or does the one on the right say "Compur", as in Universal Gen猫ve?

Quite possible that UG made the movements on all of these. They were suppliers to JLC and Zenith in the 1940's as well.

Thoughts?

It actually says 'CORONA' as it was retailed in 1940 by Corona of Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1940.

From 1930 to 1950 AP only produced 286 Chronograph !!!! Talking about rare.
....and rarest of them all is this triple calendar moonphase Chronograph no 45589. What a beauty !!!
