Yeah, we already gave them the opportunity and they came back with an offer of 45,130.
We replied and said as soon as the money is in the escrow account we will ship the watch via DHL Express.
Checked the account next day and there was only about 500 in it. They tried to stiff us with Yen, not Aussie Dollars!
We know what we got so NO MORE LOW BALLERS!

It might help to familiarize yourself with the following concepts, which might explain some aspects of OF's "Seiko Humor."
Paper Tiger
something or someone that claims or appears to be powerful or threatening, but is actually ineffectual and unable to withstand challenge
Eurocentrism
a worldview that is centered on Western civilization or a biased view that favors it over non-Western civilizations
Herd Mentality
describes how people can be influenced by their peers to adopt certain behaviors on a largely emotional, rather than rational, basis.
punch down
slang
To make jokes at the expense of a person or group that is in a position of social, political, or economic weakness relative to oneself.
As in,
'A badly abused Kinetic watch is presented as a paper tiger, fueling the herd mentality of eurocentric contributors who lavish themselves by punching down on the Seiko brand. Although punching down is never a good look on anyone, it is a particularly bad look on men who gather around a shared celebration of jewelry.'

Hardly "punching down".
Although it looks "badly abused", it is in fact a rugged tool watch worn daily for many years by an engineer in a very hostile environment and all of the marks have been sustained in honest hard work.
Another fact, and testimony to the reliability and durability of Seiko watches in general is that with nothing more than a service, a new battery and a fresh crystal, it is as accurate as any quartz watch in its peer group.

Springbars are only there when I was putting it on a cheap NATO to go on the winder, Seiko fat bars fitted when the strap was re-installed.
It is water resistant to 50 metres after drilling out the stem tube and fitting a new (generic) tube/stem/crown.
