TAG Heuer today posted some Easter shots showing off the Carrera 1887 43mm

There's a small change to the 9 o'clock sub-dial relative to the existing models below

There's a new Tag Heuer boutique opening right across the street from our office here in Jeddah.
They haven't received the updated brand guidelines yet 馃榾

It'll be nice to see some pictures the next time you're there.

New font?
BTW, you made me have a look again and I think that the font used for the Gold numerals has changed- see how the "4" on the new model is flat across the top, whereas it comes to a point on the old model. The new font is "harder" than the old, if that makes sense

It's still under decoration, not officially open yet. I'll make sure to share some photos once they open 馃憤

Number 9 is curved on the older version - flatter on the new one.

The recessed dial is a nice touch I don't really like undefined subdials all that much

Subtle, but interesting changes. I may have missed this discussion, so forgive me for being duplicative, but id be interested in folks thoughts on the official reduction in MSRP on these from $6,400 to $4,800? It's such a dramatic reduction!

I think the key thing is going to be the question of whether that's firm pricing or there's discounting still. In the past the local chain ADs here would give you a significant chunk off the top already on TAG Heuer, if that still happens and you can get the $4,800 down even lower then that's dramatic.

On the other hand if the new lower pricing of $4,800 also comes with the caveat of ending the discounting and enforcing a Rolex style firm (or at least mostly firm) MSRP price model, then its not a big change in the street price but it makes the whole buying experience more even and simple.

Given TH now have online sales through their website as well as boutiques, having a single fixed price rather than the ability to shave 10% on this model, 20-25% on that model, 30% or more on the other rmodel could make a lot of sense.

I was at an AD in the caribbean recently, and before the negotiation began was able to get almost 15 percent off...
