Uni-Compax on two rows

Dear forum members,

Has anyone ever seen a UG Uni-Compax with "Uni Compax" being written on two separate rows on the dial?
"UNI
COMPAX"

The following example, a ref. 12445, serial 1296464 and movement nr. 258152 has recently sold at Dorotheum in Vienna (I didn´t buy it, I am not into gold-cased watches).
To my eye it seems quite correct.... except for one thing - the way "Uni Compax" is written on the dial. I haven´t seen anything like this on Sala or on any example I have ever come across (which means little 😀).

What does the OF think?

Nope…Unmarked dial that was floating around from the transition from Compur to Uni Compax?

In the book by Sala I see mostly Compax. No “Uni”. But on a Google search I see lots of Uni Compax. (All on one line). UG has to be the most complicated minefield. Good thing we have LarryS and other experts right here (not me!)

My room is dark. I am watching Football!

Sorry, I don’t quite understand what you are saying by this ;-)
(But I do agree that UG is a minefield, sometimes 😀)

I don't recall seeing it offhand, but there's nothing about the dial or watch that jumps out to me as a red flag. Would require a deep dive research.

haha! I was trying to help and got confused myself. I don’t even know why I have that Sala book! The only thing I am learning from this is that I would only buy a UG from one of the experts on this forum. Not from any other source.

So you missed the very thin UNI pages between Compur and Compax. Yes, were you to buy some POS from some stranger…we’d bust your (insert body part here). But we know you wouldn’t have the (insert body part here) to do such a thing.📖

I have a 12445 exactly the same. I posted an image of it here some years ago when I unfortunately lost its bezel. Very happy the consensus is that it could be an original script, it certainly looks that way but having never seen it that way before I had doubts. Still haven't found an 18k bezel so if anyone could help with any ideas, I'd be very grateful.

Great! Thanks a lot for the link to your 12445. It’s good to see another example.

Stalker alert but I just love that a member here, of over nine years standing, with under ten posts in total during that time, just swooped into this thread with another example of this unbelievably unusual UG Uni-Compax dial. Bravo, sir!
