Like many of you, I spend far too much time on the dreaded 'Bay, fishing. Late one night a month or so ago, I caught this. Though some might not look twice at it (a simple uni- compax, 35mm, cal. 285), the thick lume caught my eye and the caseback confirmed my military watch sensing instincts.
Anyway, here it is, a F.A.B- forca aerea brasileira- uncommon, I believe, in stainless steel.

I admit to being an utter NOOB where it comes to UG (and pretty much everything else for that matter) but why would a service watch be "rare" issued in stainless steel?

except that every pilot in the Brazilian Air Force would have been a rupert to begin with.

Most of the examples I've seen for the Brazilian military( both F.A.B. and E.B.) have been in gold.
Does Sala have anything on them?
