Two-tone watches?

Is that the gold panda? I saw it once at the AD. I remember it had a lot more gold than steel and quite bling! I think the two-tone makes this speedy looks more dressy and would go well in slightly more formal settings.

I always thought it's a bit of a strange oxymoron to have a "tool watch" in PM. A tool watch should be by its nature tough and durable, yet PM is fragile and demands care, and obviously cost a lot more especially in today's gold market.
It's the pink dial panda. And reah, gold center links are a lot.

Agreed on tool watches.

The one I saw was on a strap and I thought it was a lot already!

Yep, it's a lot of gold 馃榾 I have it on the strap because the bracelet was too much.

I typically wouldn't wear that much gold, but it just FIT me perfectly looking at it. The moonshine TT speedy (with he silver looking dial) was also under consideration, and I probably would have been ok with that on bracelet, but the Sedna was perfect for me.

Glad to hear you found the perfect fit. But yeah, there's definitely a very dominant tone in this "two-tone" design!

The strap would be perfect for a night out or a business meeting. I'm not sure about for working a wrench though.

Thanks.

Thanks for sharing. It's hard to tell from the photos - the LHS looks like a gold watch and the RHS looks like a steel watch but yes can just see the other tone.
The Omega has a steel case and 18K pink gold bezel, crown, logo, hands and indices. From the front the gold dominates (only the lugs are visibly white) and looks like a gold watch.

I don't get hung up on two tone watches, I've had more than a few, new and vintage, over 50 years of collecting. If they look good, they look good. I think much of the aversion is price, why pay the premium price for the gold when stainless is readily available? Anyway, I've got all black, pandas, reverse pandas, Racing dials, silver and beige dial Speedmasters, also an Apollo 8 ceramic. All good and different watches. Last year I was cruising C24 and saw a US dealer selling a brand new in box Sedna gold and steel Speedmaster on the bracelet for 40% off ($11,500), just too good to pass up. I think it's a great watch, and the gold adds a nice heft to the total weight. I'm retired and never worry if my watch matches my clothes or setting, I just wear what I like, maybe it's a steel Speedmaster, maybe a rose gold dress watch on strap. Just depends on how I feel. But I never rule out cases and bracelets that are bi color.
