Turn Email Off

Greetings!
I am being bombarded by email notifications about threads I am "following". I see that I can go into following section and turn off "Email notification" thread by thread.. can I set a flag to never email notifications?

I am shure they will. I like those emails. they give you an option to enter the forum directly.

I too would like to see a way to turn off the email notifications by default. As it stands, every time I post to a new thread, I scroll to top, unfollow, and refollow without email.

I'd like to set my account to "unfollow" threads automatically after I post - if there's a reply, I'll see them in due time without needing to get an alert

I'm on here enough that I don't need notifying of replies via email.

How besides a manual unfollow? I searched for the global setting.

Yeah, I can't find anything in settings to prevent following by default. Whenever I reply to a thread, or edit one of my own posts, I have to refresh the page so the "follow" link changes to an "unfollow" link, and click that. Is it possible to opt in to following? I also can't find the setting to not send emails to followed threads by default. In fact preventing emails is the only reason I unfollow in the first place.
